We've moved up to 18. I think we should be about 10, but we still have alot to prove to the rest of the league I suppose.
 
18 is about where I would expect us to be, not a playoff team, and not among the worst in the league either. a few more wins, and no losses or 1 loss and I would expect the playoff talk to start, thus meaning our team should be ranked in the top 12. Right now, we haven't earned top 12.
 
i think top 12 is a tad high right now, but i also think that 18 puts us in the lower half of the league and that we're better than that. i would say we are probably more around 14. top half of the league, but not quite with the contenders yet.

So in essense, you are really peeved about 4 spots?:lol:
 
yep, i sure am. especially when they have a team like the broncos rated ahead of us. a team we dismantled. makes me angry. i think that power rankings are a little too weighted by preseason expectations and not enough by performance, we've performed better than our ranking.

Right, but the Broncos just handed the chiefs thier ***, in a more impressive fashion than how we beat them. let's win a couple more games before we start getting upset with rankings. ;)
 
The power rankings are a bunch of crap. The two teams we beat are still ranked higher than us. Plus, the Panthers are not only ranked higher than us but have a 1-2 record. These rankings are obviously based on potential and not production. Anyway, we DO have a long way to go so lets just keep on moving up!
 
Its gonna take more that 2 wins at home to convince many people that we're for real.
 
I don't pay much attention to this stuff...however, I'd like to make a point. Just because team "A" beats team "B" (in whatever fashion) doesn't nessesarily mean that team "A" is better than team "B".

The Broncos are almost certainly a playoff team and have showed it since we kicked their arse. The Panthers were, and still are, picked by many to win the NFC. Just because we handled the Patsies last year, certainly didn't mean we were better than them. We, on the other hand, have yet to prove that we are a playoff team and still have not earned the respect....As mentioned above, get a few more wins and that respect will come.
