I don't know whether Miami will win its final against the Jets or not. But here are some of my takeaways from the season.

1. I love the emergence of Tannehill. He still has a ways to go, especially in terms of consistency and choosing to run the ball more often when under pressure.

2. Miami needs to find a position for Jordan. With the way Wheeler is playing that would seem like the obvious spot. The lack of playing time for Jordan has been one of the biggest disappointments. He has looked good and made plays when in the game.

3. Love the emergence of Vernon --- along with Clay one of the biggest "good" surprises of the season.

4. The need for offensive linemen in obvious. Miami needs to find at least one upgrade in free agency and then look to the draft.

5. The offense still needs that big, physical receiver and this draft has some of those players. Evans and Coleman to name a few.

6. I'm really disappointed in the play of the linebackers. What type of salary cap hit would Miami take if they part ways with Wheeler?

7. Is the lack of a running game due to the offensive line, the running backs, or the coaches not sticking with the run? Probably a little bit of all three.

8. I'd love to see the Dolphins re-sign Grimes and add one more shutdown corner. If a top corner falls to Miam in R1, the Dolphins could likely fill the need on the offensive line in R2 and R3.

9. One late round running back I like is James Wilder Jr. He has some injury issues, but breaks tackles and can block.

10. Hartline has really proven himself this year after a breakout year in 2012. One of my favorite current players.

11. I think the team has become too "finese." We need to add some physical players, especially along the offensive line.

Wheeler counts $6.4 million against our salary cap if he is on the roster; $10.6 million if he's not. He isn't going anywhere next season unfortunately.

I pretty much agree with you on everything here. I don't see Wheeler going anywhere though. Maybe he can be better utilized in the future as he didn't suck with the Raiders. I would like to get Wilder as well...it is a good year to draft Seminoles. Benjamin, Erving, and Joyner would be amazing!

Wow. That is a good group of Seminoles. If Benjamin declares, I'd love for Miami to draft him. He probably goes R1.

wilders interesting but he's pretty upright...mid round i can see it...before that i pass

That is unfortunate. Besides the offensive line, the play of the linebackers has been the biggest disappointment IMO. My gut tells me that the Dolphins may go with more 3-4 looks next year to get Jordan in the game more. But, not sure we have the linebackers to make that work.

I will think about next year when this year is done. Want to see Tannehill bounce back after last week against that crap New York team.

All three of them will go early, but hey, it's Christmas time and I am dreaming!

I agree. His running style definitely can lead to injuries. But I'd take a chance 4th round and on with him. Talent-wise, I think he's pretty much exactly what the team needs. He will get you those 3rd and short or fourth and short yardage runs. Plus, he can block. I think he'd be a nice compementary back to Lamar Miller.

I see too much Danielle Thomas in Wilder, tall upright guy...I like KaDeem Carey, Trey Mason...Not worth taking any Rb early unless Ireland has a plan on a RT or OG he wants in rd 2.
We need LB help, Oline help bad. but, I wouldn't pass up the opp to take one of the big WR like Evans or dude from Penn State, or Benjamin

This is an option. but, the staff isn't willing to admit they were wrong on Danielle Thomas who they traded up to get in the 2nd round!!!!

Jordan Matthews with the 1st pick. I don't care about the rest of the draft!! OL I guess..
