The traditional run blocking fullback is dead outside of the Raven FB who is basically an OL quick enough to get to a defender before Henry/Ravens RB.

There is value in another back who could run the ball here and there, block and catch the ball.
The H-back/motioned TE has taken over # 2 & 3.

If you can find a Moose or Konrad that can stay healthy, there's value. Outside of that just get that TE that can line up for those 10-15 snaps or a 6th OL
Problem is those guys typically sized as a FB either go to TE/LB, or just don't have enough athletic ability to really make a roster

If they do keep a fullback, I'd prefer a modern version of Mr. Automatic First down Lousaka Polite over Ingold.

Voted "Don't care". I love the idea of the fullback but understand that they are no longer popular. No reason to pay a premium on a dying position though.

Always thought the #2 or #3 TE would be a good substitute but what the hell do I know (not a lot).

That's how the 49ners use juszczyk, yet Ingold is making money real close to his, and we never sent him in motion, just a stupid contract.
Ingold was used in short motion on quite a few run plays, as I recall. They overpaid Ingold, but ya can't blame him for taking it. I think he'd agree to a restructured contract for less AAV because the market isn't great for pure FBs. Only 11 teams rostered an FB last season.

Perhaps OG can put on a few pounds and fill that role when needed.

I doubt he will ever be a high volume ball carrier but height be capable of including the H-back role.

Isn't Ingold credited with our recent success at running the ball? I remember hearing multiple times while watching the game that when we run he is always the leading blocker.
That he was always involved on run plays.

Ingold has had some positive moments with us. Nothing that is worth that contract in my opinion

TE is a critical need for us. I think Dulcich had a nice impact for us......resigning him would be a good start
