Saban, Nolan begin with big wins in Miami, San Francisco

If there was a theme running through the first week of NFL action, it is simply that discipline is a far more valuable commodity than most might think in this era of seeming player control.
Proof may have come in the aftermath of the Dolphins' victory over Denver. In the locker room, linebacker Zach Thomas presented first-year coach Nick Saban with a game ball. That wasn’t necessarily surprising.

What Thomas said was a bit different.

Good article. I don't know why, but I get the feeling that Nolan copies everything Saban does. It seems to me he looks atsaban and tries to copy his style. It seems to be working but it is just eery.

Anyone who doesn't believe me, look at the draft. Alexsmith wasn't anywhere on the radar until Saban brought him to the forefront, then, San Fran jumped on board with the whole, " we control the draft" stance that Saban had taken. Very odd. I like Nolan though, I think he will turn the Niners around, I just think it is weird with all the parallels.

Traylor said Saban was so intense that he made Belichick seem “laid back.â€Â

I like this comment by Traylor!
