I do not live in South Florida - and I do not care at ALL about the Canes - Seminoles - Gators or any former High School, college or resident of the state of Florida that played and lived in that state.

I DO NOT CARE!

I care about the Dolphins.

I thought the Dolphins blew it big time by not resigning OV, Miller, Matthews, Shelby - LAST YEAR! or the YEAR BEFORE!

Now it was too late - WE BLEW IT!

We have been smart to not chase it and over pay for it.

All of those players were good, improving, hardworking players...

Philbin and his corpse imitation destroyed us by not being smart enough to get ahead of it - keep good talent - sign players to future deals and so on....

So the current option of overpaying talent that others will take on for a far greater price became untenable.

On the other hand Dolphin brass must keep its fan base "in the game".

So while evaluating Tannehill under Gase we assembling a team that manage to likely win a few games and keep us out of the basement.

We will suck wind for two more years - then we will know by the end of this one if Tannehill under Gase has talent to win...

We will put the worse of Suh's hit behind us-

We will not be over-extended with big splash free agents.

We will have built this year's, next year's and the following year's draft - lets say if we're lucky 15 keepers...

That's the year 2018 season - that we are right this ship...

It sucks Dolphin fans but players like Alonzo and Mario Williams keep us interesting and prevent us from having no shot at all...

ITs a very long shot but at least if there is crazy chemistry between certain players we could put together something really fun - more then likely we are competitive and can win some games...7 to 9...

I think the front office of the Fins have two challenges:
1. They need to be competitive RIGHT NOW. Fans have very little patience and if progress is not seen in season one, they will be very upset
2. They need to build a long term winner. This means they need to be able to draft well and have players that can play soon and sign them to long term deals before their rookie contract is up.

I've heard a lot radio ppl go on about this aspect of what took place with OV and LM leaving. How are we sure the previous front office didn't try and do that? How do we know the players simply said no and simply bet on themselves?

My point is, that is a wonderful GENERAL argument to make, but as far as I can tell it takes TWO to make that work.

This has to be a joke right?
Patience? Fans down here (those of us who are left of attending the game regularly) dumping thousands of dollars every year for the last 15 years. And you are questioning our patience.
Sorry but a three year plan is not acceptable for me. We had three year plans under Saban, Sporano, Philbin and now again? Nope. Not anymore.

Since Mr Brighteye had the grand idea to force seasonticket holders to pay for season tickets in October (!!!) I give the Dolphins next season to become a playoff contender.

The biggest flaw in this argument is that at this point if the front office doesn't know what it has with Tannehill, they should not have jobs in any NFL front office. This is not a shot at Tannehill. I think he has more than enough tools for a good coach to work with. The approach this year is the same as it's been for as long as I can remember. It's an approach that seeks to put pieces together rather than build a team. It's a short sighted approach that relies on flash over process.

Really not trying to be snarky or a wise ass but, what will you do if they dont become a playoff contender? what exactly are your options? BTW, I c.an understand the frustration but its your favorite team and you are a fan

Good morning bro. Let's see how the draft goes and see if there is a better process this year then the past. Then we can see how FA and the draft mesh as a whole. Have a great weekend!

Bro I think its the last time we went very deep in the playoffs was 1984. I have been a fan since 1970 and as a truly dedicated fan you can only hear the same stories with the same:nutkick: so many times.

I have called a Tannenbaum apologist. I think this offseason has been "fine". The optics would be improved if they had brought back Miller and signed a legit guard. If they can get CJ Anderson it will blunt the loss of Miller. If Denver matches, they can reset at RB.

That said, my biggest beef is the lack of a legit guard. Also, I think they could have picked up a CB to compete for a starting job. Finally, there is some talent on the D line flowing about. I think the team can find some steals in there.

You are exactly proving my point. Right now, there is very little patience with Fins fans. I did not mean they didn't have patience in the past, but it is very little now

I will finally say goodbye to going to the games. I am not asking for a Superbowl next year. Just be in playoff contention and make it. You can turn a team around in one year to do that. According to Mr Brighteye Gase has three years. I am not sitting around anymore getting my ass up at 7am on a Sunday morning, dragging same to the lot, spending thousands of dollars just to walk out of our own stadium as loser on a consistent basis and then do it (3-year plan) in 2019 again. Nope. I have my limits of abuse.

Unless you are going to pretty much every home game for decades I take your opinion as uninformed when it comes to patience. Do you have seasontickets and go to every game?

It just sucks to let almost all of our good(young)players go to FA without really having a chance.Although up until now there hasn't been much.

There are 3 glaring weaknesses on this team. And not a 1 of them has been fixed.Theres no way Kiko(who I like)Maxwell and Bushrod are fixes.Maxwell was just downright horrible last year.Kiko if and that's a big IF can stay healthy this will be solid. And Bushrod moving to guard is like asking for the numbers to the powerball.

Nothing has been fixed yet IMO.

This is approach is the opposite of good. Gathering more holes while having the same exact ones we've had for the last few years. It's funny how complicated the dolphins make things. Fix problems, don't make new ones, and don't give up picks that allow you to build a team. Not that hard
