Small world. '82 for me, as well. 6 yrs was enough for me.
My son went in 2001, and I visited him at Pendleton. I swear to god, not one thing had changed. Same barracks, same rec hall, same dive bars off base, same Tijuana donkey show, everything was even painted exactly the same.
