I like Mueller and the picks he's made in the past (Walter jones, trading for aaron brooks, drafting deuce mcallister and Ahman Green, etc.) Anything is better than Spielman at this point for the Fins, we just needed something new.

But dont u find it funny that we signed the guy that pretty much screwed the dolphins over the most.....we sent 2 1st round picks to the Saints and he traded us Ricky knowing that ricky was a headcase. So he pretty much set himself up for the job. Ricky quit on us, we go 4-12.....get rid of spielman....and sign Mueller.....IRONIC ????

But on the other hand, Mueller started a snowball effect that got rid of Wanny, Spielman, and got us players like Ronnie Brown and a good coach like Nick Saban. So i guess it kind of evens out.....for now.

who cares about irony. he took advantage of a weak GM. better that hes on your team, than screwing you out of youur draft picks.

so the fins gave up 2 1st rounders for R. Williams,
a VERY high second rounder for Feeley,
and a 3rd rounder for a backup RB...
:shakeno:

but there is more:
MIAMI's 1st round picks since 1994:
2004: V. Carey (G)
2003: (Trade for R. Williams)
2002: (Trade for R. Williams)
2001: L. Fletcher (CB)
2000: (Traded for ?)
1999: (Traded for ?)
1998: J. Avery (RB)
1997: Y. Green (WR)
1996: D. Gardener (DT)
1995: B. Milner (OT)
1994: T. Bowens (DT)

how amny are still on the fins roster? 3, 1 is about to retire, 1 did retire, but was dragged back. and the 3rd player might not even start.. :shakeno:

Alls fair in love and war. As long as wanny, fielder and spielman are gone, thats good enough for me.

haha... those look as pathetic as chiefs draft picks... it'd all be different maybe if ricky hadn't quit. larry johnson reminds me a LIL bit of what ricky could do... big, powerful, fast... now ricky's just... fast. we'll see if he's powerful or if he can get big.

I quess this follows that saying, keep your friends close, but keep your enemys closer..I guess if he's not on another team with the chance to screw us, the better, who know's, this is saban country for now, as most on this board thinks, he can do no wrong..I'm begining not to like Saban, but I hope he does a good job with the team..

Why are you beginning not to like him?

"1997 was an even bigger year for Mueller and the Seahawks as Mueller engineered the trade that sent washout former #1 pick QB Rick Mirer to Chicago. Mueller was able to hoodwink the Bears into parting with the 11th overall pick in the draft for the erratic Mirer..."

Anybody care to guess who the Bears' HC was in 1997?
That's riiiiiiiight.

Just wondering why you don't like him. Don't worry, I wouldn't bash you for daring to disagree or having a differing opinion, but what specifically is making you start to not like him?
