Randy Mueller feels confident in identifying quality left tackles.

Mueller believes the great tackles in the draft are easily identifiable.

''You don't have to spend a lot of time evaluating cornerstone left tackles,'' Mueller said. ``I'm not saying those are Michael Jordan, jump-off-the-charts, but you know it when you see them.''

Will Randy be able to size up potential left tackles to start for us this year?

I dont think that Levi Brown qualifies as a sure thing LT and I think thats what Mueller believes as well.

What he was talking about was the selection of Walter Jones the offensive left tackle for the Seahawks. He selected him with the 6th pick in the draft years ago. I'm not sure it's completely relevant to this year's situation.

man... it looks like Levi might have a krinkly head like Richmond did... maybe he IS our guy...

That picture is terrifying. Can you imagine seeing that if you were a DB cowering in the secondary?

If we don't get Quinn, I'd love to see our top three picks go:
1.Staley/2a.Kolb or Beck/2b. Doug Free that would go a long ways in solving our O-Line

The Dolphins have forgotten what it was like to have a good LT. Its been a long time since Richmond Webb lined up for Miami in the left tackle spot. Of course its been an even longer time since Dwight Stephenson and Jim Langer were our starting Centers to anchor the offensive line.

If that is the way Mueller sees Brwon then I say Mueller has no clue what he is talking about.

Levi got a little lazy for the combine, but dont be a combine fool. When the pads go on, he rules and scouts are no dummies, they see what I see everytime, his punch just knocks people back.

Evey time I see staley, even when making a good block, he is getting moved back. To me, that is not a good sign in the early going. We already have a Joe Staley on our team and his name is Anthony Alabi and he has moved up to 330 lbs. Staley would be asked to do the same and wait his turn. Not a first round grade to me but i know i am in the minority. People keep pushing this guy but he needs to get stronger and put a few more pounds on and get rid of that 4.7/4.8 speed in the 40. 40 times for tackles are not really relevent.

The more I find on Free the more I like him. I'd be very happy getting him at 60 or 71.
