Schottenheimer calls short pass plays because Pennington can't throw more than 20 yards. How is Brian Shotty and Capers...
Any different from Cam Cameron and Capers???
aside from the fact that cameron doesnt call a bunch of short dump off crap that shotty does?

i highly doubt its going to happenit makes so much sense, I would :barf: if it doesn't happen
it reminds me of Gruden pushing the Bucs over the top
we would have a top 10 defense and a much improved offense
Doubt that would happen. The Palm Beach Post is reporting that Miami is prepared to make Capers the highest paid coordinator in the league.Giants | Capers could become team's next defensive coordinator

I dont buy it. the jets have two other qbs that could have easily started. Ramsey in particular has a killer arm. If shotty really wanted to be a down the field kind of play caller he would have never kept pennington as the man all season.
There is slightly more to a QB than just arm strength...how good is Kyle Boller and Rex Grossman? The QB position is more mental than any other position...Ramsey just didn't have the mental side.
And Clemens was raw. He simply was not ready. They gave Clemens a few meaningless snaps here and there. He got sacked four times and completed no passes and fumbled the ball once. Yeah...he wasn't ready...
Pennington was the only option...his flaws are obvious...but he did a good job all considering.
Despite expected interest from the New York Giants, sources said Capers is more likely to stay in Miami under another coach than join Tom Coughlin's staff. The reason is stability ó Coughlin received a contract extension through 2008 but likely wouldn't survive another bad season.
