Multiple articles from last year stating billick would take phins job

Billick wasn't a terrible coach but on the flip side I doubt he'd be doing a lot better with this cruddy OL and the hot garbage we have at linebacker. And kickers who can't make kicks.

People remember the Super Bowl win but forget all of the years of sliding downhill that followed it. Billick is incredibly arrogant and would be a terrible choice.
Billick also compared Ryan Tannehill to Jamarcus Russell, in terms of QB bust potential. Yes, he actually said it and he would like to be proven right.

I also read that he and Ross have a BAD relationship. If correct this will never happen.

Ross absolutely hates Billick because of the 1-15 victory against the Ravens. Remember, Billick decided to play for OT instead of the win and that's basically why Miami won. Wayne Huizenga increased the asking price of the franchise based on that one win and apparently Ross is holding a grudge over it.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted Bilick, but realistically, he'll take any HC job that's offered, probably at any price at this point. From what I read, he's very smart which should not be a liability, except he's lauded it over front office people, talked down to them and was often condescending. As a result, to paraphrase Joe Girard, from his classic timeless "How To Sell Anything To Anybody" essentially make someone happy and they'll tell a couple of people, but piss someone off and they'll go out of their way to inform everyone they know. And that's why Billick is blackballed. Hopefully he'll have more humility on the next go-around if there is one.

I get ya' Vaark, and that's the type of stuff (having a condescending attitude) you can do when you're winning but start loosing and it gets old really fast...But we've had a slew of "nice guy" coaches. Time to hire an a-hole. Actually, the great Shula was considered a bit of an a-hole when he got to Miami.

There was also an article that said Ross hated Billick...Lomg story, but he does not like him. He would a perfect fit.

I don't want Billick either. At this point in time if anyone took the team assuming Joe gets the boot, I want Jon Gruden.

If Ross doesn't like him that is a positive. He likes Ireland...where has that gotten us

**** no to Billick.

When he left Minnesota to coach the Ravens he was supposed to be an offensive guru. Well turns out he was only an offensive guru because he had players such as Chris Carter, Randy Moss, Jake Reed, Daunte Culpepper, Robert Smith, Randall Cunningham and an amazing offensive line. It was the FO personal who should be credited with those offensive juggernaut teams, not Billick.

Billick also proved time and time again in Baltimore that he couldn't develop a QB and he rode the coat tails of a once in a lifetime defense to his only SB win. No thank you to this pompous *******.

He's not a "good man."

Ross wants a "good man."

Philbin is duplicitous, so by definition somewhere in there are characteristics of a "good man." So we already have our guy.

Let's see...Billick was the offensive mastermind of the Ravens 2000 Super Bowl Team that is often named as one of the best offensive teams in NFL history. Wait, that was the Ravens defense that was one of the best defenses in NFL history. Career record 80-64. .556. 9 seasons almost 9 wins a year with one of the leagues most dominant defenses ever. Did win a Super Bowl. Just more mediocrity in action...9-7 here we come. Maybe he could mold Tannehill into a Trent Dilfer clone. No thanks.
