Multiple Injury updates and snippets

Interesting , according to this we were in fact high up there in injuries

High? It's at Ricky Williams level at Receiver positions.

I wonder if this is a good strategy.

1 week deply Waddle, Fuller, Hollins and primary Shaheen.

Next week DVP, Wilson, Williams and primary Gesicki.

This way we keep them fresh and can hopefuy stagger their potential injury time.

The funny thing is.... well not my post. But the funny thing is either rotation I would be confident with to be honest. That is, IMO, why I am so excited for the potential of this offense.
I don't think game to game, but I'm expecting crazy subbing in each game.

Fuller, Wilson, Williams.

Parker, Wilson, Waddle.

Parker, Waddle, Fuller.

Parker, Wilson, Williams.

Etc.

Etc.

Etc.

Studes, Godsey and Frye are going to go nutso on the personnel groupings.

Hunter Long is back at practice and had a great day getting open and catching everything. I remember the day he was hurt, half the board had him out for the year. A bunch said it's good it happened now, at least we get him back for 2022!! I said something like maybe he'll dodge a bullet, maybe it won't be so bad. Not many bought into that but I'm happy for the kid. The last player that drew raves like that in practice was Chris Hogan (who Reggie Bush called 7/11 because h was always open! We're loaded at receiver!!

I think if you look around the league you will see that the Dolphins are far from the only team which have injured players right now. Football is a violent game in which huge individuals slam into other huge individuals at a high rate of speed. You also have players who get pulled muscles or strained ligaments because of the force which they push their bodies.

If the amount of injuries makes you sick or frustrated . Perhaps I can recommend ping pong as a sport you might enjoy following instead. Very seldom do the best ping ping players have an injury which prevents them from competing at a high level.

Actually...

Few people consider ping pong – also known as table tennis - to be a sport that comes with a high risk of injury. After all, how much pain can batting around a light plastic ball really cause?
The answer to that, at least in my case is: quite a bit.
I’ve got a perpetually sprained left ankle, an occasionally achy back, and have dealt with “tennis elbow” flareups in the past. So yes, while ping pong is a non-contact sport that is played indoors and involves far less movement than related sports such as lawn tennis, squash or badminton, ping pong injuries are fairly common.

But I mean, yeah, the injuries in football are probably the worst in both quantity and seriousness of any sport ever, with the possible exception of shark wrestling and scorpion-ball.

You should look up the stats for badminton’s vs. hours played… it has been responsible for starting more than one multi-generational family fortune for the joint guys

In other injury news... BOTH KC RBs were injured in their meaningless preseason game...

DARREL WILLIAMS
RB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Chiefs RB Darrel Williams is being evaluated for a concussion.

Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) both left Friday's game with injuries. If Williams has a concussion, he'll be placed in the league's protocol and likely miss the final preseason game. Williams and Edwards-Helaire have just over three weeks to get cleared for Week 1.

CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRERB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire left Friday's preseason game with what head coach Andy Reid described as a "slight" ankle sprain.

"It doesn’t look like a high-ankle sprain so that’s always a good thing, but they’ll double check it," Reid said after Friday's game against the Cardinals. Edwards-Helaire had three carries for 13 yards and one catch for ten yards with KC's first-team offense before exiting with the ankle issue. If the injury lingers and CEH were to miss any regular season time, Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon would likely split work in the KC backfield. Since neither McKinnon nor Williams profiles as an early-down back, Darwin Thompson or Elijah McGuire could be in line for some sort of workload if Edwards-Helaire can't get right before Week 1. We could see Edwards-Helaire's ADP slip with this injury news.

I play squash and and I know badminton is a sister sport of comparable intensity. I'm not surprised to learn it takes its toll in the body.
