Murtha could compete for RT

Colombo's pass protection is worrisome, but his run blocking is more than sufficient. Murtha does enough to get by, doesn't impress or kill your OL. An upgrade at RT next offseason for sure.

I think this would be the best move, especially if he gets a fair number of reps. Outside of this penalties he was very good against a pro bowler at DE in Johnson.

I think in the RT position he will be even better and he wouldnt always have to have a TE next to him like i feel Colombo will need which opens out O even more as we can split guys out wide and spread a D more. I would really like to see him at RT alot vs the Bucs, however, because Jake isnt playing i wouldnt count on him doing that but rather being the LT for the first 3 quarters.

Which begs the question, is he getting reps at RT in practice or anywhere to validate him a candidate for the position or are we just hoping because he has been very good at LT that he will be our RT because he is our 2nd best tackle on the team.

I really hope he is getting reps and once Jake takes the LT spot Tony comes out and is like Murtha is going to be our RT.

Murtha needs to prove he won't be a penalty liability before he gets a chance to start when the games count.

Murtha has naked pictures of Tony I think. How does he keep getting chances?

Murtha at RT and Garner at RG would be an improvement over Colombo and Carey IMO.

No brainer if you ask me. He has been a nice surprise at LT in camp/preseason . . . but is a natural RT and he can be a force in the running game. The fact that he is no longer a swinging door makes him the obvious choice at RT if you ask me. He is wayyyyyyy better than Colombo at this point.

I think Murtha and Carey could be kinda nice on that right side when they get it going.

Even if Colombo starts week 1, I'm thinking he's going to miss some games with some kind of injury.

Somewhere as we type this, Tony Sparano is thinking, "I'm going to spend this team's first rounder on a RT next year" and is smiling with excitement.
