Must see beck video

lol good video but his ankels are not sprained thats would be next to impossible for someone to play on, he just has his ankels wrapped to prevent ankel sprains thats very common.

sorry i just cant see anyone playing on two truely sprained ankels
 
He wasn't limping for show! They were slightly spranged. He sat out the next game to let them heal. We played a cream puff so we didn't need him.

The thing that stood out to me was his WRs never were open. They seemed slow or maybe TCU's DBs were fast, but he just put all those balls on the money. So many times when i see highlights of Russell or Quinn, they all are easy passes to wide open WRs down the field. Our guy was threading the needle consistently. I guess thats why our staff said he was the most accurate Qb in the draft. Hard to argue when you check out this game.
 
That's just one video, there are 12 more in 2006. I picked that video becuse of just what you said, byu's wide out weren't that fast. TCU's defense was. The video was about precision passing. If our WR can run crisp routes, and beck learns the system, he will pick teams apart. I don't want to overhype beck but I've read alot of pesimistic people on this board, and beck will be better than what some people are giving him credit for.
 
Big thing watching that was he scans the field and doesn't lock onto WR's!!!!!
 
yeah most of those passes were into coverage that was almost perfect and he got it in there. I love the beck pick. beck, ginn, brown, our young 3 are in place and if you look at the character of those 3 guys, no egos there and I love that. and yeah his ankles were sprained and he took the next game off to let them heal then came right back and from what i know sprains dont heal that fast, tough kid

Great! He can play against TCU! TCU was ranked for a couple of weeks because the BCS is an awful system; TCU never played anybody and neither did BYU.
I'm so sick of this asinine homerism! Ask anybody who knows anything about the draft and they will tell you that Jon Beck is a typical system shotgun quarterback (Koy Detmer reminiscent) who projects to be a career backup or an average starter at best.
I could show you highlight tapes of any quarterback in the NCAA and use it to justify using a high draft pick on him but that does not make it right. You guys are so easily impressed it's totally ridiculous. We should have Brady Quinn and Dwayne Jarrett and instead we have Ted Ginn and John ****ing Beck. You must be joking. Isn't anyone else tired of this franchise being run into the ground?
 
Koy didn't play for BYU!

TCU's defense was nationaly ranked all year! Do you want to see a highlight video of beck passing against the bears defense? Have you seen any of BYU's games this last year? Ignore the highlight video hype, watch the accuaracy, arm strength, poise. Bottom line: Quin= OVERRATED. Beck= BETTER THAN STANTON, EDWARDS AND KOLB.
