new here and my first thread so bare with me

with the 09 draft in two days, I thought I'd throw out my mock draft for kicks

Warning: Not the sexiest picks you'll see

1. Clay Matthews, LB, USC - historically Parcells draft guys with pedigree like Carpenter, Fasano. No one has more pedigree than Matthews

2a. Darius Butler, CB, UCONN - Realistically, I know Butler will be gone, but unrealistically I still hope he falls into our laps

2b. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers - the #1 big wideout we need

3. James Davis, RB, Clemson

4. Kevin Barnes, CB, Maryland - the more CBs we have the merrier we'll be

5. Xavier Fulton, OT/G, Illinois

6. Jason Williams, MLB, Western Illinois - tweener MLB or SS but can cover

7a. Darryl Richard, DT, Georgia Tech - hopefully jason ferguson version 2.0

7b. Ryan Mckee, OT, Southern Miss

7a/b. Crapshoot take BPA

I like Davis quite a bit. I've heard good things about Barnes and Williams, but I wonder if they will last that long. Nice mock.

I'd bet my Ozzy CD's that your first 3 picks are gone before those spots...actually,there's a good chances they're all gone in round one and I think Houston will take Mathews at 15....Butler might be there for us at 25 but the other 2 might be gone already before 25.

Ozzy rules!!

thanks for the feedback, you're probably correct. I'm not a good mock drafter and however unrealistic, I hope these players with a snowball chance in hell fall to us

fine excuse with the wrong choice of the word. bloodline would be better

Either way...every one is an individual...all your parents...brothers or Uncles can do is point you in the right direction. The rest is up to you.

If family genes were the main item...Marino's kid would be a rising star at QB... Griese or Elway also.
