Location
the Wasatch front
1)N. Harris, S Oklahoma
2a) P. Turner WR USC 2b) J. Brinkley LB S. Carolina
3) A. Smith CB Wake Forest 4) Tonga Tea DT Okla St
5) C. Barwin LB Cincinnati 7a) J. Ganz QB Nebraska
7b) R. Conley OG Utah 7c) D. Reynolds OL BYU

If Taylor Mays of USC comes out, he'd be my preference. R Johnson of Bama would be okay. Tuna has had some success w/ USC WR's and Turner would be the ideal compliment to Ginn. Especially as Wilford will be gone IMO. Alphonso Smith is bit undersized but a ballhawk & playmaker. Barwin started out as a TE and is athetic enough to move to either OLB. He could rotate w/ Roth.

Brinkley is a BIG boy; a 270 LB force @ ILB. I'm not sold on Sintim.

Beck & probably Soliai are gone. Ganz & Tea are thier replacments. Would the Lions would give up a 6th in 2010 for Beck? Getting another 2nd day pick in 2010 for Soliai would be good.

had to be a bit of a home state homer. I'm not a BYU fan but Reynolds has played all 3 positions on the line. Conley has already graduated and is the anchor to this years line. Utah has done okay w/ OL in the pros (C. Kemoeatu Steelers, J Gross Panthers, Barry Sims Raiders then Niners now)Now that Smiley is injured & since Thomas went out, The Guards have been the weakness on the OL.

Other players I like; Selvie DE/OLB USF, Cosby WR Texas, Shipley WR Texas, E Decker WR Minnesota, Bear Pascoe TE Fresno, Massaquoi WR Georgia, C Vaughn Safety Wake Forest, N Suh DT Nebraska, Beckum TE Wisconsin, Gresham TE Oklahoma, F Brown WR Utah, & W Tuitama QB Arizona.

Nic Harris is a yeremiah bell clone... since we resigned the guy, i don't see how we would draft harris... there will be a lot of good defensive player at our pick, earlier teams will look for OTs, QBs and RBs, my guess is we'll be in position to draft the 6th or 7th defensive player of this draft, Nic harris is in no fashion the 7th best defensive player coming out

jasper brinkley is a beast, if herzlich doesn't declare i'm putting him in my ideal mock

brinkley will NOT go round 2. might be the slowest LB ever loll. his 40 will knock him out BIG time hes a GREAT LB but EXTREMELY slow. prob round 4.

he's slow but he's big and physical... perfect for a WILB in our 3-4

i must agree, round 2 is too high

nic harris first round? GTFO.. Bell is the most likely to get resigned, he's got a better shot than crowder or carey...
i agree DB (S or CB) in first round but harris is a 2nd rounder we dont need that much...

we need DT, CB, FS, WR or LB in first 3 rounds
and the USC receiver isn't that great...

frankly i'd be pissed if we drafted these kids...
and i do NOT want another UTAH guard, Murphy, and Aggie, has been awful, he probably wont even fill in for Smiley, he'll be beaten out one of the guys we just signed 2 weeks ago..

Check your stats on Brinkley and you'll find out he runs pretty well for his size. Before he was injured many had him in the first, because he was big and ran in the low 4.6s and high 4.5s. If Ronnie can come back with our trainers maybe they can get Brinkley back to that level as well.

i didn't use stats for his 40. Eyes during his REAL GAME PLAY said so.

1-20th EVERITT BROWN DE FSU - The best defensive backfield is the one where the QB gets pressured and sacked every play. EB is as tenacious as they come, and may not be around @20 SIZE SPEED

2-50 MYRON ROLLE S - NEURO SURGEON or NFL ? I'd like this BRAIN dissecting plays and concusting them every SUNDAY for the PHINS. His stock has fallen a bit, which makes him a good grab here.

2-52 HERMAN JOHNSON G LSU - SMASH mouth teams need SMASH MOUTHS Gs.

3-84 DARRY BECKWITH ILB LSU- Heres a LB that can smah it up in the hole and cover a TE or RB out of the backfield with 4.55/40 speed. A great choice in the 3rd

4-116 DERRICK WILLIAMS WR- 6'0 4.4 TEAM NEED

5-148 WILL JOHNSON DT MICH

7-212 GREG CARR WR FSU -REMEMBER ORONDE

love the picks but woudl rather get brown if there at 1.
love 2.
2b id rather get caldwell i hear luigs isnt doing so well.
love the 3rd
like the 4th.
not sure on 5 and the7's havent heard much of em but going only 2 cb in the late rounds isnt good. unless we go heavy in CB in FA like mcfadden and or robinson.

Unless Patrick Turner run some incredible times at the Combine, there is no way he'll be a high second round pick. In fact I doubt he'll be a first day pick. The lack of success of other big USC's receivers such as Mike Williams and Dwayne Jarrett will hurt him.

Tea Tonga might be a little too short for The Trifecta. At under 6' and 305 lbs he probably won't be on the short list of plays they will consider.

Robert Conley will probaby be an UDFA.

Yeah, Turner and a lot of the other USC WR's have been pretty lackluster. I don't think you will see any USC WR go on the first day this year.
