I did a mock draft about a month ago,so here is my 2nd one.Let me clear up a few things beforw we start.i have Quinn gone at the 2 pick with the Lions and i have Stanton gone in the 2nd rd to the Texans.

1. LaRon Landry- LSU-Safety-6'0,213...i love this guy and if he falls into our lap then it is a no brainer..this team hasn't had a great safety since Louis Oliver..i loved Oliver and yes he did get burnt a lot but overall he was terrific..by drafting Landry,Jason Allen could move to the cb position.... he knows how to play cb and another way of looking at it is that our depth in the secondary would be great, with Daniels at dime/nickel and let's not forget Hill and Goodman would add into that depth at secondary positions.

2. Tony Ugoh- Arkansas-OT-6'5,301...great size and has great work ethic...even better run blocker...A position we need desperately and i have read a few times that his star is on the rise..i have seen some mock drafts him as high as the 1st rd but most say and agree he is a early 2nd rounder.

2. Aundrae Allison- East Carolina-Wr-6'0,192...Great hands and is very fast...he could be the deep, vertical threat we have been looking for..not sure he would be the # 1 Wr on a team but could be a great # 2 option in years to come...had a down year last season but potential is to good to pass up on.

3.Trent Edwards - Stanford-Qb-6'4,231...Great size and has even better arm strength..doensn't have the great, sexy stats that a Quinn or Russell have but he does have the hunger to be a winner and some even compare him to Cutler,a Qb playing for a bad team...sometimes thats a great thing to have,a Qb who wants to prove that it wasn't his fault for all those losses..injury prone might scare some teams off but he is a project and would need time to develop but whats not to like.

4.Tim Duckworth -Auburn-OG-6'4,306...saw him a few times vs Georgia and was impressed in the way he handled himself...he is a good run blocker and the reason i like that is cause i have a idea that Cam is gonna want OL that can run block...I can see us being a team that runs 55-60% of the time this season,so it might be wise to stock up on Lineman like these...he is also very physical and made the Sec 2nd team.

6.Yamon Figures-Kansas ST.-Wr-5'11,174...A burner for sure...Maybe a steal if he is still there in the 6th rd...Perfect guy for kickoff and punt returns...last season his stats for punt returns were:22-323 yds, 14.7 avg with 2 td's and a long of 81...kickoff returns stats were:9-203 with a avg of 22.6 no td's but had 1 in '05...as far as his receiving stats goes he caught 28 balls for 418 yds with 3 td's and averaged 14.9 a catch with a long of 68 yards..on a side note here vs rutgers in the Texas Bowl,he accounted for there only Td..he returned a punt for 76 yds vs them..A friend of mine went to the game and said he runs like the wind, he also went on to say that once he gets into the open field he is gone..i say perfect guy for Special teams for us if nothing else.

6. Mkristi Bruce - Washington ST-DE-6'5-268...have read his stock has fallen a little but whats not to like about a guy who gets 10 and 11 sacks over the last two years...he is very quick and agile amd i have heard that he has the killer instict to become a good player..could add much need depth to DE position for us.

7.C.J. Wilson-Baylor-CB-6'1,194...another player that could help for depth or special teams..a cb at 6'1 who be a nice find...finished #2 at Baylor for career int's and had 4 this past season...very physical and good tackler who is not afraid to mix it up.

7. Clifton Ryan-Michigan ST-DT-6'2,310...could be a project but has great attitude and last year of his 25 tackles, 6 of them were for losses..had 3 sacks last season as well...gets off the ball well enough..plays with great passion and fire and i think could be a nice backup and contributer to this team.

Well there you go, rip away if you like...I did plenty of research so be as kind as you can and any feedback as always is appreciatted...

Kind of solid but very unspectacular. I'll be disappointed if our first day comes out like that, probably because of picks 2b and 3. I like Allison, just not at 60, I'd rather have Craig Davis or Jason Hill if they are there. Not real big on Edwards at all.

sometimes picks only half to fit the need of the positions u need..depth is a need at a lot of positions for us and sometimes the sexy pick is not the way to go..hill i think will be gone by 60 i have read a few websites saying he could go early in the 2nd so im assuming he be gone by 60...i like edwards a lot...i think a lot fo people r curious about him but dont know much...i think it would great to have him on the team and see what cam can do with him..i bet cam could mold him into a pretty good starter

To me, that draft is unimpressive and i would not be happy with it.

I really dislike Tony Ugoh. He can't pass block to save his life and he plays way too high. I don't care about athleticism is his technique is horrible. He's no better than what we currently have in Shelton and Carey.

There's no corners in the top 3 rounds. I really think we need a corner in one of those rounds, unless picking Landry means Allen moves to corner.

well rem we never had allen, toledo and hagan on our list of playres to get last year so usually it ends up that way. getting players you hvan'et heard much of or believed to have intrest in.

I have never heard of something so....

Oh ok so the Dolphins randomly looked at CNNSI's rankings and picked their players right?

Houck was very interested in Joe Toledo, there were a couple rumors about Hagan but nothing serious, and Allen was a guy people were screaming Saban had the hots for.

CJ Wilson will go a lot higher than that.

bro im talking about ****ing mock drafts man not the real deal.

did you see 1 single mock draft from ppl and sites that had miami selecting toledo or hagan? No.

btw he was high on toledo but our o line sucks and lsot 6 starters and he still cant' crack the starting line up so who cares? Seems like another stupid pick inmiami history until he shows other wise.

THe result has nothing to do with it and he got injured. He was in the starting line up right when he got injured!

Yes I saw a draft with Hagan big deal.

I'm not a fan of Ugoh, but if you are saying he's as good as Carey, by all means draft him. Carey is one of the best RTs in the league.

Ugoh has good size and great athleticism. Although I'd LOVE Joe Staley at 40, I think he'll be gone before we pick in the 2nd. Doug Free and James Marten are two prospects who's size I really like.

Ugoh though has the agility and quickness Houck likes. His technique I'm not worried about one bit because that's what Houck get's paid for and get's paid well.

Anyone who watched the mini-camp videos last year witnessed Joe Toledo continually get drilled by Houck because the guy's technique was bad. Technique can be practiced and improved. Athleticism you either have or you don't.

Toledo was set to start a year ago, but for the injury.

I think Miami might trade down for Staley if they can get a deal and then deal back into 1 if someone tumbles. For example, if Ginn can't work out and teams deem that he goes from legitimate top 10 into the 20's, then you look to deal back into 1.

You should be in VIP BTW.

Without a doubt he should be. He stands out just a little bit:cooldude:
