I know I might be falling victim to the rumor mill, but I think Harrington has his work cut out for him to make #2 on the chart. From what I've seen of him, he's Mr. Happy Feet. Saban doesn't seem the type that will have a problem tossing a mistake by the way-side.

hey sphinx i see you are relatively new to the site so welcome! not trying to get off topic on the original point of the thread but whats your reaction to the first game steelers vs dolphins?

I really hate when they play each other since I love so many different people on each team. I think the worst would be to see injuries on either side. I'm going with the Steelers because my heart will always be there, but my head says the same on this. Right now, they are the unit that has played together longer. Daunte is still new to the system, and although I think he's going to do wonderful, I think it's going to take a bit for the offense to start firing on all cylinders.

I see the game as who has the better defense and who is going to make the fewest mistakes. To me that is the Steelers.

I'm just glad, if they are going to meet, that it is early in the season. I'd hate the Steelers to meet them later, as I think the Phins are going to be scary good by late season.

I respect that answer. I live in Pittsburgh and the only argument any steeler fan can give me is..... Whos superbowl champions. Steelers fans get on my nerves.

All die hard fans will get on the nerves of another teams fans. Especially when answers to questions come without real thought. I believe you call it being a "homer"? My loyalties are clear, but I'm not an idiot, I had to live through the down seasons of both the Steelers and the Phins. Try living through 4 #$%*! interceptions in that Super Bowl against Dallas!

Then again, watching Wanny drive a once great franchise into the dirt was akin to watching your daughter date a Patriots fan. Nightmare.

I could never be a fan of two teams. I just don't see how that works out. Were you born into a Steeler or Dolphin family, or how did that happen?

oh man,

Neither. Didn't have a father at all. I was about 7 when I was walking by our TV one day and there was a Steeler - Oiler game on. I stood and watched Harris run OVER 2 Oilers on the way to the end zone and then carry two more the last five yards.....I was soooo hooked. Coolest thing I ever saw. Was a Steeler fan from that moment on.

Then later..I was moved to South Florida and watched Marino - Duper - Clayton tear up the record books. How could I not be a fan? I'd watch the Steelers whenever I could (No Direct TV back then) but watched the Phins every Sunday that wasn't blacked out.

I guess I'm a football poligimist. Steelers were my first wife, Phins were the hot second wife.

Nolefin -

Nice job on your roster. Everyone else seems to have gotton off topic. Not sure how the DBs will fall out and I wouldn't be suprised to see us pick up someone else along the way. Also I would go with Vick as your last receiver and put aromashodu on the practice squad. The way things are looking right now ... Wright might have a tough time making the team.

nice i respect that answer, in a way thats like me for basketball...i live in NY so i have to go with the knicks even though we are going through some hard times but im also a huge heat fan so its like i have two teams for the nba, and its not like i only pay attention to one but i follow both during the regular season intensely and i also dread Heat-Knick match ups but the way the knicks are now its really no contest...and im not a band wagon heat fan at all my family is all from miami so thats obviously how i have the dolphins connection, and my uncles have season tix for the heat so i always go to the games when im down there and i deff went insane when the heat won the nba finals this year

-i know a few people find it hard to imagine that i can be a heat fan and a knicks fan based on their history and how they were once in the same division but i was young during that time so i really didnt pay much attention to the fights and the close playoff games, now in a sense you can say everything is pretty cool between the two teams since they are in different divisions and the heat are hanging at the top while the knicks are down in the cellar, i guess i live both worlds in basketball

I don't want to take over the thread guys. Thanks for the welcome, hope I explained myself. Great work nolefin, other than I don't think the QB situation is going to end up like that. I really hoped Harrington would pull his head out of his rear...it isn't looking good so far.

Oh and go Hurricanes.....

Nolefine- apologize for going off topic there for a bit but i really like the roster you put up and appreciate your time to figure it out....now with will poole cut i think we may lack a bit of depth in the CB position because i dont know if i really trust lehan behind t. daniels, goodman, and will allen...if things get complicated i can deff see jason allen playing cb but thats only if things were to go really wrong in the cb department for reasons id rather not want to think of like injury
