My Absolute Worst Cast Scenario........

Most people who know football on a professional level as compared to most of us including the OP (and WTF is with this "Mr" .... so we don't confuse him as a "Ms?") claim that Rosen is the real deal, the most natural passer in his class and that he was saddled with a terrible team, line and HC. I'd grab him for a 2nd round pick!!!!

I think this will develop leading up to the draft. Josh Rosen's stock is at an all time low, and if the Cardinals make it clear they are picking Murray in the week leading up to the draft then that tanks the value even further. In that scenario, he certainly can be had for, let's say a high 3rd rounder and a 7th. That is great value as there is no way a 3rd round QB will have the measurables Rosen will have, it doesn't preclude the Dolphins from using this draft to address the other holes on the team, and it doesn't preclude them from drafting a QB next year. Tank specialists will chime in here and say it helps the tank too. I would absolutely make that trade.

Anything higher than that gets dicey.

Just tossing this out there...looking at the trade value chart, the Dolphins trade could trade this year's 1st, 2nd, and next year's 3rd to Tampa Bay to leapfrog the Giants and grab Haskins or Murray. You keep most of next year's draft AND get your QB of the future in a year when it's quite possible the QB1 will fall out of the top 5 picks. I'd heavily consider it if I were Miami.

Exactly, no one is going to go gung ho on Rosen. I think 3rd / 7th is about right. No team IMO will offer higher than a 3rd. Unless a team had like 3 2nd's and wanted to throw away one of them for a chance.....like maybe New England.

Arizona will not have much leverage in trading Rosen but that's to be expected if your getting Murray.

I proposed a Ryan Tannehill to Arizona trade, somewhere on Finheaven last week, that made sense. They aren't going to want Rosen there with Murray in the fold.

Cincy, Washington, Denver and Miami are the most likely to have interest in Rosen but hard to see any bidding war happening.

I am ruling NYG and JAX out because Foles and Haskins have to go somewhere.

LAC, Pitt, New Orleans, New England......don't rule them out if the cost is pennies on the dollar. Chargers especially a dark house. The book is closed on Rivers winning a SB for that franchise, they can ride him out for another year but beating Mahomes isn't in his future.

Rosen get so much **** for being drafted by a shitty team. I cant stand that we now live in an era where a QB cant have a Rookie year. Id take him for a 2nd if we cant get Murray. That would mean we walked away from last years draft with Minkah and Rosen AND kept our 2019 1st round pick.

I'm probably gonna get ripped for saying this out loud, but:

Going strictly off college - because I didn't pay all that much attention to his rookie season...I think Rosen would actually be a pretty good fit for the type of offense O'Shea is supposedly going to run. If you make him run for his life and create something out of the pocket, he's not going to do all that well. In a short-to-medium depth passing scheme where the ball comes out quickly? He might look like an entirely different QB.

this kids a talent. very natural passer and pretty good feet. fed to the wolves in 18.

if we do trade for him focus must completely about face to o line personnel additions

also pats style o this kids game fits

Scot McCloughan said today that Kyler Murray is QB1 in this draft but would have been QB5 last year.

Honestly, if I were Arizona I'd take Murray. Rosen had his moments, but Murray definitely has some elite qualities that could make him a star in the NFL.

Rosen's rookie year was all I needed to see, the guy isnt accurate, he has no escapablity and is late throwing the ball to wide open WRs. Nothing in his first year made me think this guy has a future as a successful QB. I wouldnt want him for a 3rd rounder or a 7th, he's a huge project QB and a huge waste of time.

I just dont see in any scenario where trading for this big of a project makes sense.

For the people clamoring for Rosen, did any of you actually watch Arizona games last season or is this all based on his draft hype from last year coupled with a bunch of Arizona-based excuses being thrown his way?

He isn't good. If he was, he wouldn't be getting traded at a low value once Arizona takes Murray at #1. They're going to try to trade him ASAP while is value is "low" because given more time his value will soon be zero, so they're going to try to get as much as they can for him before it's completely obvious.
