My AFC and NFC predictions

I think they're decent predictions. I see Green Bay as SB contenders and say they'll go 13-3, and I think Arizona will make a run for the playoffs. The season hasn't begun yet, though, so predictions are just predictions.

Your prediction on Minnesota is way off. Their defense is very much improved, and probably the best they have had in the last 5 years or so. Yes, even better than 1998 when they were 15-1. the broke the record for points that year. Minnesota will make the playoffs, you heard it from me first.

The AFC picks look pretty good Ice - though I think that you're being slightly optimistic about Miami and you're not taking the Patsies seriously enough. 7-9? They've done nothing but improve their squad and you think they'll lose three games more than last year? I disagree there.

The only other point I'd make is about the Bengals. They will win at least three more games than you have them down for. I know they have an average/below par QB but the only other obvious weakness is their secondary. Their WR contrary to what you say could be the strength of the team:

On one side you have:
82 Michael Westbrook 85 Chad Johnson 84 T.J. Houshmandzadeh

And on the other:
80 Peter Warrick 81 Ron Dugans 83 Danny Farmer

That's a dman fine set of receivers. If the Bengals had a QB they would tear it up - no question. WIth Dillon creating eight man fronts they could be really scary.

I don't know about Cincy. I have heard all of this stuff about them being the surprise team of the year but I am just not buying it. Also, the Pats are pretty bad. Tom Brady can't throw the ball 10 yards, and it will show this year. They are flukes.
