Lots of people on this board remember me for being a passionate person.

Outspoken? Yeah, I'll take that.

Right now it's pretty clear from the top down this organization is a dumpster fire.

It's almost heartbreaking to see young players with passion trying so hard but
with a failing organization which will be a dumpster fire until top down changes
happen.

I wish my Dolphins were better. They're not. They're not going to be.

I'm still here. Nowhere else to go for my generation of fandom. It's just that
I'm now forced to admit. The organization is fundamentally flawed.

Tannehill was a project. I accepted that for the false hope of upside. I think the
most damning play was when he brought back in the pass to a short route on the
TD last game. EVERYONE bought the short throw. Obviously game planned.
Nobody is worried about downfield throws.

Save your "Then go" and "Root for the Pats"

Damn kids need to get off my lawn.

Pick a 2nd team like I did 4 years ago. Really hope Landry don't sign. He is to good to wear that disgrace Dolphins Uniform.

Dolphins have been laughingstock of the league for so long. It's pitiful.

Tannenbaum leading this organization is like the ultimate salt in the wound: A nobody in football terms. A zero football mind. In the job because he is connected. NO CLUE how to analyze talent, draft or acquire a full roster of upside units and playmakers.

It's sad to see. but you just have to find other ways to enjoy the game -- and life.

Just laugh, shake your head, and don't let your hopes get up. And focus your energy elsewhere.

I don't see the passion. For example, I concede it's a vastly different sport but I don't know how anybody could watch the Ryder Cup this weekend and be content with the effort level or passion of any of the Dolphin players, and specifically the quarterback.

When I was a kid we had Patrick Reed type of fire all over the field, combined with remarkable smarts and dedication. As I've emphasized many times, Henry Barrow on the WIOD lockerroom show struggled to find anyone to talk to him on air after those rare devastating defeats. When he did get someone the voice was barely audible.

Jarvis Landry gets it partially correct with the intensity level. I do enjoy how he barrels through attempted normal tackles, especially early in the game when an opponent has no idea it's going to require vastly greater energy level and attention to detail than standard to bring Landry down. However, fitting of this era Landry otherwise can be a jerk out there. It almost seems like a mistake we drafted him, instead of another offensive lineman with little strength. I'm not convinced we handed in the correct card.

Speaking of projects, our stadium has been a project for 30 years. There should have been a contest to guess the next patchwork, like the original mid-'60s contest to name the team and win season tickets for life.

If it wasn't for the new roof I think Sunlife would be looking pretty empty by the end of this 4 game home stretch.

I sold my season tickets and don't plan on going to any games ever again.

that made me laugh :)

So, you've just given up? If the team is going to have any chance to rebuild, Landry is a huge part of it. I think they should've cut Tannehill when they hired Gase and let him pick his QB, but we don't want to have a new QB come in here with no WRs.

The biggest issue with Landry, as I see it, is that he extended Tannehill's time. When Miami drafted him, I knew he'd be Tannehill's favorite target, and I noted that he may save Tannehill's career. Well, maybe that still plays out, but it's looking like he just extended something destined to fail. If Miami doesn't retain him, I'd expect NE to be one of the first teams in line.

This is it...it is one thing to have an angry fan base, and I think a lot of fans are angry with the way the team has been handled over the last 15 years. It isn't about winning or losing, but the fact that the organization as a whole just seems lost as to what direction they want to take the team. From the players they acquire, the plays called on the field, how they "fix the stadium", to the way the players play, nothing they do says "ROOT FOR ME!". I became a Dolphin fan at a young age, living in Florida and having two options, the Buccaneers and the Dolphins, unless you lived in Tampa, Miami was the easy choice. An all time great at coach, a exciting QB that was breaking records (I grew up in the 80's)...it was hard not to enjoy watching on Sundays. Today, the Dolphins have no identity as an organization, they lack a culture that the players can get behind and the fans can recognize. This team and franchise is not creating an angry fan base, but an apathetic one, many are at the point, and I mean many long time fans, no longer care what happens to the team, and that is far worse then one that is just mad at the failures.

Hell, even most of NFL football has started to lose itself on me. This isn't a "back in my day, players played tough" sort of thing, but it does seem like the product teams are putting on the field is rather bland. Players don't have the passion for victory, you see a player make a big play now, they point to their name on the back of the jersey...self promotion is now the norm. In part, this is due to free agency, players are not loyal to any team, only to where they feel they can continue their career. Self promotion is key to landing that next contract and while this allows for some much needed benefits to the players, it hurt the overall product in a sport that demands team first mentality to succeed. I think you can also place some blame on the rise of Fantasy football, where even the fans are less interested in teams and care more about the individual players.

The Ryder Cup was some of the best golf I've ever seen - on both sides. Reed v McIlroy and Mickelson v Garcia were epic matches. No quit in either side. By the way just playing for pride of self and for your team - no prize money.

The Dolphins look like they just want the game to end every week the instant something goes wrong (usually the opening kickoff or a few plays in). Thats a by-product of the pro football culture. Just give me my paycheck.

I've just decided to enjoy my Sunday's and watch Pittsburgh play each week with my friend's. What a class act organization from top to bottom, everything I want the Dolphins to be and aren't.

Since 1969, Pittsburgh has had 3 head coaches....3...

They have had 29 playoff appearances, 21 division championships and have won 6 Super Bowls.

They are the organization to emulate...

Certainly everyone here knows the play has been abysmal and talent is poor in too many positions. That said, I agree - the passion and intensity aren't there. Maybe in the 1st two games, but since then? Nah. I've posted elsewhere . . . a member of D makes a great play and the other ten kinda yawn. 'Yeah, OK.' May not make a difference to be passionate, but I'm getting tired of feeling more interested in the outcome than the players.

But, I disagree with "I wish my Dolphins were better. They're not. They're not going to be." They ARE going to be better. How MUCH better? I'm not going to take that argument, but they'll be better. Which brings me back to a question. Are the players really dispassionate or are they still so obsessed with thinking of assignments they LOOK dispassionate. Either is bad.
