My Daughters first date

Well, it had to come sooner or later, my daughter is having a triple date with her friends tonight, the boy asked her out. The good thing is its at my house for a movie! She has moved on from Peter Potter (Stitches).

My 17 year old son said he is going to give him the evil big brother eye when he comes.

I have not decided what I will do yet, my wife ha threatened to keep me out of the house!

:lol: Ha, ha. Good luck with that Greg. My hubby made plans with his 3 best friends when both my daughters were born as to what they would do when the girls have their first dates and I didn't ask what they are. Suffice to say they're all firearm instructors :lol: j/k. Your wife is probably right to say you can't come in the house.
 
:lol: ...and so it begins.

What you can do is to dress up in tacky shorts, wear a white undershirt and long black socks rolled all the way up to your knees. Then, get your favorite lawn chair and sit out in the front of your house and wait for the young man.

Then, just as he approaches, make sure you ask if he has a job and what his intentions are for your daughter.

Try to develop a nervous tick from now until then and it should be a fun evening. :wink:

Make sure you take LOTS of pics

Been there done that and will have to again in about 10 years. My oldest just turned 16 on tues, now I how all new worries.

Okay, they should be here in 15 minutes, I'm in my boxer shorts with a stained ginny tee shirt, I'm drinking a beer and eating beef jerky, I'm ready for them!

Speaking for a daughters perspective, I just hope you didn't embarass her too much.

On the other hand, he better be a fin fan or he's in big trouble!
 
Nah, I was a good dad, they are still in the family room, my dog is watching them. I even cooked them some snacks, than went in the other room and drank a few beers.
 
This thread has loads of potential!

Greg, show him the shotgun...you know just drop off more snacks and have it in the other hand "coincidentally"

I expect pictures :)
 
No pictures, my daughter threatened me, she said remember I wake up before you, I can do some damage!
 
I'm feeling for you Greg. I don't know if I'd be able to handle it.
This brings up my recent decision: I'm only keeping my daughter until she's 12. So, in about 10 years, let me know if you want to adopt a girl.
