craziest thing ive heard today is that mueller is no longer a bpa gm...thats exactly what he is...ask anyone in the know the dolphins have targeted ginn for a long time...they got him and used their whole clock trying to trade down...

he will be this years version of reggie bush...

2) the people who have studied at the Wannstedt School of Sh**** Drafting...Taking OL for the sake of OL is a joke...I actually read someone complain for passing on Ryan Harris...Have you seen him play? I have...Hes a cream puff...

3)play makers- ive been complaining for 10 years...this team needed an infusion of play makers...difference makers...when we didnt go after santana moss...when we passed on randy moss...we needed a legitimate upgrade and speed and ginn and booker bring it...booker will be cam's miami version of michael turner...

Oh well now that i have the opinion of you i'm fully confident that Miami made the right move in passing on a franchise player and reaching for a WR in the top 10 who had no place being drafted ESPECIALLY since better recievers were available in the 40 spot.

I'm not a huge Quinn fan by any means, but this team needs a franchise QB, and for them to offer TED GINN as a solution to a team with wholes in the secondary, and on both lines? Thats just ridiculous. Especially since Ginn isn't a better RECIEVER than Chambers, though he will be a better all-around player.

I'd rather have Quinn-Smith/Jarrett than Ginn/John Beck. Beck the project QB who will be Culpepper's age by the time he's anything worth watching.

Quinn is not overrated. He didnt exactly have great teammate around him and anyone Charlie Weis endorses as the next Tom Brady(HOF) im willing to take chance at #9. Basically at 9 we had a chance to draft a Franchise QB for the next 10yrs which at 9 that hardly ever happens. Instead we draft a Punt Returner aka Wes Welker II and Cam even said that when he spoke a the draft party. A PUNT RETURNER FOR CHRIST SAKE. We didnt get good value at 9 even if pass on Quinn we should drafted someone else because we could draft 10 spots down and still pick Ginn.

I just hope we get Trent Green and let this guy Beck learn the offence for a year. I like Tedd Ginn and his explosiveness. All you can hope for now is that we did make the right move by picking Quinn and he becomes another ND bust (Rick Mirer).

Not justifying taking Ginn at 9,why are people here referring to Brady Quinn as a franchise QB? The biggest knock on him from all the draft gurus on tv is he has no accuracy on the long ball.I cant think of one franchise QB that cant throw an accurate long ball . And listening to him sell himself by putting his name in the same sentence as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is a joke.He hyped himself up and all you people bought it.When the Dolphins took Beck over Quinn, they saved themselves 20 million. The 2 QB are 2 peas in a pod.

.

Oh that's a pile of crap.. They play different positions -- Bush is a running back, a position where he can get the ball in his hands many times in a game.. He is also over 200 pounds, Ginn is a measly anf frail 178 !

Secondly, Ginn is a WR not a RB like Bush.. He will have so much trouble getting open when NFL corners jam him at the line and he is stymied because he is so thin and weak.. And not to mention his hands aren't the best, he doesn't like to go across the middle because he's scared .. And not to mention his penchant for terrible route running ..

To say he will be the next Reggie Bush is a joke at best .. It's nothing more than myopic thinking on your part .. And before you talk about his return capabilities, Ginn only had ONE return for a TD the entire regular season in college last season !!!

Ginn is the epitome of Bust !!!

Ginn should be a good return receiver, anything else is wishfull thinking.

A word of advice...don't worry about the ones you don't get. Only worry about the ones you do.

We needed a QB that could be the starter for a long time. Quinn was that prospect. We haven't drafted a good QB since 1983. That is 24 years ago. I'm sure Mueller/Cam knew that, and there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to not take Quinn. If not Quinn at least draft the next BPA, and that was not foot injured 170lbs Ginn. We have injured DC, Lemon who will make a good #3 and a PS at best QB on the team. Does it take Einstein to figure out that we should have taken the BPA, which was Quinn? Instead we pick a punt/kick returner. When Cam made the announcement he not once called him a WR, he said he will excite us when he returns punts. We are the laughing stock of the league right now. Think about it, we laughed when the Jets took a kicker in the 2nd round. So what do we do? We draft the guy that will return his kicks in the 1st round. Great move. Ginn will not take us anywhere except give us the occasional "Wow, nice return". Gee, am I looking forward to that. This franchise will go nowhere without a franchise QB, no matter how many 4.4 40 return men we got. Right now I'm thinking we're back to the Wannsted/ Spileman era.

You base this on what? Why is it that posters or "fans" such as yourself, claim to know so much? I bet you $1 you didn't know Colston was going to turn out like he did as a 7th round pick? If you did, give me that crystal ball, please. You're the prototypical Dolphin fan who can't appreciate the Dolphin's decision of taking an explosive player who'll add another dimension to this offense.

Real fans can't just except who we take and support them for being a Dolphin? Everyone has to give their pointless opinion about how disgusted they are with our draft because we didn't draft the player they wanted. No one knows anything. Just cause one guy likes Quinn and the other Beck doesn't make this draft better or worse. In time, you'll know who's better and learn to live with it. We still have 6 picks left, so we should pick up some secondary help.

Ginn was an incredible reach. So was Beck. It was a horrible first day in what is shaping up to be one of our worst drafts ever.

And you know that even before the whole draft is completed?

While I was excited when Quinn was still there at #9 and while I was extremely extremely disappointed when we didn't pick him, I gave the whole thing another thought (after I admittedly had one of the most sleepless nights in my life) and I just think now that our coach and our GM, they both inquired a lot on Quinn just to find out that he will not pan out as our QB for years. I for one will give them the benefit of the doubt for the 1st day of the draft, I count on Mueller's talent evaluating skills and I just hope we will prove all the doubters out there wrong, who will give us a bad grade for this draft. Let's go Dolphins!
