My dream 2009 Offseason

So this is what I hope that TUNA and Ireland get done in the offseason.

Our Own Free Agents
Vernon Carey OT We must resign him. Brings stability to the RT position where he did well at in his first year on that side.

Renaldo Hill resign did a good job this year, and would probly come cheaper then signing 2 safeties in the offseason via free agency.

Yeremigh Bell, Channing Crowder, and Andre Goodman all played well this year, but are going to request to much money in the offseason so we must cut our ties with these three guys.



Free Agency
1. Sign Nnamdi Asomugha as long as he doesn't get hit with the franchise tag. Dude is a shut down CB, and exactly what our D needs.

2. Sign Jason Brown to be the big mauling center we need in this ground and pound offense.

3. Sign Michael Boley away from the Atlanta Falcons. At 6'3 225lbs he could could play ILB or OLB. Atlanta benched him in week 15 due to some legal trouble, but if his mind is right he could be a great addition.

4. Sign Jermaine Phillips to a 2 year deal. We wont be able to plug in a rookie at safety right away, but he could be a great mentor to Delmas.

good thing you named this your dream offseason. Absolutely no chance of that offseason happening.
 
duke is a 1st round prospect... parcels like BIG LBs not ones that weight 225 Lbs which is TINY in a 3-4.. bell carey and goodman are gonna cost too much but you want nnamdi? he will probably cost what all those guys together would
 
We don't need to cut ties with Bell. We need to pay him. We should also probably try to hold onto Goody. He was coached up this year and that improvement showed. We probably still need to find another corner unless J. Allen, Billingsly, J. Thomas or Babers show they can come in and be solid backups. The guy from Oakland WILL be franchised. We might as well forget him. I do agree that Vernon is a priority. Crowder and Hill can be replaced.
 
I am sick and tired of hearing the name Nnamdi Asomugha as a potential FA pick... just seriously tired of it.

Why just why would the Raiders let THE BEST CB in the league and their best player walk away, just explain to me why?

We all like to throw ideas around but lets be Realistic.

2 words AL DAVIS. Worst owner in football by far.
 
if this is your dream offseason, you better WAKE UP, or you will very disapointed

We will cut Torbor before we make him a third string ILB, trust me on that.

Delmas is a FS in the NFL, and I expect him to win the starting job over Renaldo.

12 OLinemen on the final 53 . . . I just know that is not going to happen. I expect 9, 10 at the most. If u keep Ndukwe at some OG/OT (if he is not a FA and he has 16 games under his belt, I doubt we part with him so easilty) depth and have Satele as G/C depth and Donald Thomas as a pure G backup. . . you just need another solid OT and another guy.

U have to cut 2 guys, to make room for the LS, K and P.

Can't lie tho, I would be happy with that draft and FA, the roster depth needs tweaking tho.
 
Just one question, what happened to Cam Wake on your roster?
Hard to imagine we sign him and just end up cutting him after just one offseason...
