ok here it is guys, i've read all the threads and i'm going to give you my thoughts, if you don't agreee no biggie.

last series play callling: i was wanting us to throw on the 3rd down , i know we probably should have ran but atlanta was expecting us too and we probably should have but we didnt. please , please dont blame it on the coaches. if we would have ran it on 3rd and 4th and didnt get the 1st everyone wouldve been crying why didnt we throw it.

gus' interception: if peyton, favre or brady was given this play in the huddle they would have completed it and not thrown an interception. now that being said neither would have hasselback, harrington or orton. bottom line gus is not performing up to average qb standards. i'm tired of saban, coaching staff and blinded finfans making excuses for this poor excuse for a quarterback. he flat out is not suited for playing the qb position.

game summary:we were very lucky to even have a shot at tying this game up. atlant did what they wanted to us all day long. right now the falcons are probably pissed off because the game should have never have been that close. i plead with you finfans stop hating, we are an average team and hopefully we will be that way when the season is over.

summmary: i hope lessons were learned by the players coaches and finfans so that we can turn this ship around for next week and kick the patriots *****.

GO FINS!

I dissagree on all fronts. We were not lucky to be in this game. WE WERE IN THIS GAME! Because of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams.

Secondly, we were in four down territory! we had two downs to get 3 yards and waste 2 minutes off the clock while scoring! If Brett Farve or Peyton Manning were running this team, they would have audibled back into a run play knowing damn well that this is what was working even when they friggin expected it!

How long will it take people to realise that we have 2 great RB's and we still do not use them nearly enough? I just dont get it. Im sure Bill Cowher would get it. Im sure Bill Parsells would get it. Nick Saban/Linehan are not getting it. They get end arounds and double reverses on 2nd and 3. REcipe for stupidity in the NFL.

im not giving up on linehan so easy , we should be lucky if he comes back next year. if he doesnt we'll have a new play book and im sure our offense neeed s another one to learn. hell lets bring back norv and do it all over again, gimmme a break :shakeno:

I give them 3 Wins and 5 Losees - which sums it up rather well

Your whole evaluation is BS.

Anytime you can control the trenches as we did with our running game, you should win the game. No damn way you throw the ball on 3rd and short. No way no how. That is common GD sense!
Linehan should be fired.

Control the game? Falcons 37 minutes Dolphins 23....Falcons 11-17 on 3rd downs Miami 0-9.....Atlanta had drives of....71...84...92...91 yards....and we controled the trenches? the game?

This team lost because we didnt stick with the run and stop using those assanine end arounds to chambers.. We dont need them .. we were battering those guys in the end I bet my arse if we kept running it we would have ATLEAST gotten another first down if not a TD outright.WHOEVER called that pass was the reason for this loss.period.

ooh but wehen those endarounds are go for 50 yards you probably arent complaining

The falcons did control most of the game but we had them beat in t.o. and rushing yard avg.... Gus should have handed the ball off... When I saw him drop back to pass I was yelling and then of course he threw a horrible pass. I rather has Ray Lucas throwing the ball (well maybe not) but I do get nervouse eveytime he drops back to pass.:fire:

We had other recievers to go to on that play. Booker was in the corner of the endzone.

Gus played HORRIBLE! An out to I believe it was booker, late in the game, on 3rd down. If he would have put some ARM into the ball, its a first down. INstead he gets no velocity on it, the corner comes up and makes the play. Hell if he throws it to the outside of booker its a first down (It could have been chambers, I don't remember)

Gus lost that game. He forced the ball in there.

Atlanta did well in the first half. Our defense made some adjustments in the 3rd quarter and held Atlanta to 3 points. RB at one point was average 5-6 ypc. Atlanta's defense didn't impress me in the least, especially when they were gearing up to stop the run. They couldn't stop the run and they couldn't pressure the QB.

how many times has that happened?

Yeh, not sure what he is referring too there. It worked against the Broncos and had a TD called back against the Bucs. Talk about beating one play to death. I've never seen a team reach into the playbook 5+ times a game for the end around.
