Pat Kirwan continues to ANGER me at times with his articles. How could you not mention the dolphs in this FA analysis? Joe J. is a good number two reciever but not the most groundbreaking signing in history?!? No mention of Sabans moves? We have signed 3 dbs, a pro bowl qb, an LT, LB, and a wr. We are definitely a top 3 competitor in FA signings so far.

I thought the fins were going to be the next bandwagon of this upcoming year, but this makes me think we still do not get the correct recognition (which is not a bad thing). Do not get me wrong, i do not put much credit into Kirwan and others opinions, but i can not wait to show these LOSERS the power of SABAN.

BTW
"The Colts built a fine defense in the past two years, and losing LB David Thornton and DT Larry Triplett certainly will hurt. "
any ideas where these guys will go? Especially Thornton.

Pat Kirwan is a touchhole...we all know more about the game of football than he does.

He can kiss my ***

Yeah the dude who wrote that was either high or is a complete idiot.

Well, technically Daunte was a "trade" not a "signing".

True, forgot about that, but they should make a list with the best "moves", trades and signings.

Woah, calm down there skipper. Who cares what Kirwan thinks? I'd be more insulted if Ralph Wilson were to shake my hand than listen to Kirwan dis my team

no its b/c we signed mediocre/2nd-3rd string playres other then DC, LJ and the new ones but those werne't in the article by then (meaning the new ones) thats why. at the time of that article if i am talking bout the right one we had only DC LJ and hodge/goodman and that is NOT a good FA if u look at hte players other then the first 2 thats why i BELIEVE. who knows

you people are incredibly fickle. 99% of the people on this board define a "good read" as ANYTHING positive related to the dolphins. whenever there is a negative or realistic comment made about them you deem the author a "moron" or "idiot" or something else. IMO you are the one's that are the "moron's and "idiot's" (not directed at anyone personally mods). how about being objective instead of subjective. realize that there are some things about this team and all teams for that matter that aren't perfect. they do have flaws. deal with it.

pat kirwan is an extremely well respected nfl analyst. he worked in the jets organization for many years as player personnel development and now writes for nfl.com and has a weekly show on sirius. he is informative, objective, and fair with his analysis.

the truth is we haven't made much headlines yet as far as our free agent signings. yes, we've signed a lot but you're confusing quantity with quality. look at the pittsburgh's, new englands, indy's... what have they done in FA?? NOTHING. patience is a virtue. the few "big name" signings we have as in l.j. shelton and will allen aren't that big to anyone who isn't a MD fan. both are former 1st rd picks who have underachieved their entire career. on top of that many experts and analysts feel we overpaid for these average type players and on the surface i tend to agree. however, i do feel that we have exceptional coaching and i think if anyone is going to be able to bring out the full potential of these players it's them. still, you don't usually sign a free agent and based their pay on their potential... you do that with draft picks. free agents are suppose be paid based on how they've played in the past and in essence we did overpay.

everyone just needs to take a step back and understand that people can criticize the miami dolphin franchise in some way and not necessiarly be wrong. take off those rosy colored glasses and look at reality and notice everything isn't perfect.

Culpepper came in a trade so I doubt he'd be included in their top Free Agent signings.

I read your posts and most of the time they're good... but I think I agree with you so much because I have to reread everything twice... I know this isn't grammar school but double checking before you post would be greatly appreciated.

thornton went to tennessee, tripplett went to buffalo.

the FA signings the fins have made have been non-name guys, for the most part. culpepper was a trade, so it really isn't a "signing." the guys saban got in FA are in positions of need, but they aren't the best guys out there. that's not to say they aren't the best guys for THIS TEAM. we shall see.
