1 - Detroit Lions - Brady Quinn - QB - The lions have a franchise full of young skill players, and need there future QB to ever have a chance of a good season. (Other possibilities - Joe Thomas)

2 - Arizona Cardinals - Joe Thomas - OT - The Cardz got a steal in Linehart, and have the skill players, and need to build the O Line (OP - Alan Branch or Frank Okam)

3 - Oakland Raiders - Brian Brohm - QB - The future starts here for the Raida's. Unless AL Davis gets a hard on for Calvin Johnson, and makes an unwise move.

4 - Houston Texans - Frank Okam - DT - Houston needs OL help, but nothing here that is worth the pick so they fill another big void, and take a big DT (OP Alan Branch or Adrian Peterson)

5 - Cleveland Browns - Adrian Peterson - RB - The Browns have built a solid young core on offense, and AP will complete it. Frye, Edwards, Winslow, and AP is a good looking O. (OP Alan Branch or trade down)

6 - TB Bucs - Gaines Adams - DE - TB has lost the thing that has made them succesul over the yrs and that is there D. There is no better place to start then with the best DE in the draft, and go after Adams ( OP Calvin Johnson or Leon Hall)

7 - GB Packers - Alan Branch - DT - GB needs a big DT to keep the guys off AJ Hawk and Abdul Hodge, and Branch will stuff holes and keep these guys free. (OP Leon Hall or Marshawn Lynch)

8 - Washington Redskins - Calvin Johnson - WR - Calvin will slip no further, and they get the big target Jason Campbell needs. (OP Leon Hall or Quentin Moses)

9 - Pitt Steelers - Leon Hall - CB - Pitt's biggest weakness all season has been the secondary. Hall will fill this void nicely (OP Ted Ginn jr or Marcus Mcualey)

10 - Tenn Titans - Ted Ginn jr - WR - VY needs a big play wr and Ginn will do it for him. (OP Sam Baker, Jake Long, or Pat Willis)

11 - St Luis Rams - Quinton Moses - St louis has consistently tryed to improve there to D to no avail, but Moses will be a playmaker in the NFL ( OP Mculey or LaRon Landry)

12 - Atlanta Falcons - LaRon Landry - S - Lawyer Milloy is aging, and they need helpin the secondary. (OP Dwayne Jarret, Brandon Merriweather, or Darelle Revis)

13 - Minn Vikes - Marcus McCulley - CB 0 The biggest weakness all yr has been the secondary, and McCulley is a stud. (OP Brandon Merriweather or Darelle Revis)

14 - SanFran - Darelle Revis - CB - The only secondary guy worth a damn they have is ShawnTae Spencer, and they will look for help early (OP Reggie Nelson or Dwayne Jarre)

15 - Philly Iglles - Paul Posluszny LB - This is phillies guy. He fits the city, he fits the schme, and he will be a great LB for them for a long time.

16 - Miami Dolphins - Jake Long - OL - This is the next great linemen ina long line of Mich OL. We bite the bullet here, and take the big nasty that we need to protect our QB for a long long time.

17 - Buffalo Bills - JaMarcus Russel - QB - Buffalo really needs a BIG OL here, but with nothing available in this spot they select JaMarus. JP Lossman has played better this year, but Buffalo doesnt think this guy is a real #1 NFL QB. (OP Levi Brown or Justin Blalock)

18 - NYJ - Marshawn Lynch - RB - The J-E-T-S went out last yr and drafted 2 big ugglies, and have a stable of 3rd down backs, but need the true #1, and Marshwn Lynch is there answer. (OP Quinn Pit**** or DeMarcus Tyler)

19 - Carolina Panthers - Patrick Willis - LB -The only LB they have for thr future is Thomas Davis, and this team is built around a speedy D, and Willis will bring that to this team for yrs to come.

20 - Jax Jaguars - Reggie Nelson - S - If Nelson comes out, and is available the Jags will scoop him up. They need help @ LB, but there is no value there so they take the hometown boy.

21 - NewYork Giants - Justin Blalock - OL - The NYG are going to need some guys to protect ELI, and Blalock will do just that.

22 - Cincinati Bengals - DeMarcus Tyler - DT - The nati has solid LB, and a good younr secondary, and a dangerous offense. The one glaring need is DT and Tyler is a run stuffing Mamouth.

23 - NE Pats (from seattle) - Michael Griffin - S - NE always has trouble staying healthy in the secondary, and will draft for depth here.

24 - Dallas Cowboys - Sam Baker - LT - JJ and Parcelss know you build a great offense thru solid big nasties, and Baker will replace an aging Flozell adams nicely.

25 - New Orleans Aints - Antoine Cason- CB - There corners are getting old, and there trying to build a Dynasty, and they get younger @ the CB position early.

26 - KC Chiefs- Dwayne Jarret - WR - KC hasnt had a true #1 in a long time, and they will get one in this draft. Jarret and Ginn could flip flop, but i think they will go in the order i have them.

27 - Denver Broncos - Quinn Pit**** - DT - DE is also a big need, but Pit**** falls to fall to let him keep sliding.

28 - NE Pats - Jeff Samardzjia - WR - Big WR will become Tom Brady's favorite target.

29 - Bal Ravens - Anthomy Spencer - DE/OLB - Bal has possibily the best depth in the NFL, and will draft the BAP.

30 - Indy Colts - Nuster Davis - LB - Indy has lost a couple great LB's over the yrs, and Cato June is a FA this offseason. Davis may be a reach, but he is a tackling machine.

31 - Chicago Bears - Sidney Rice - WR - The D and Special teams are tops in the league, but the offense is Dismal. Rice adds the big play threat. If the bears get nocked out early they may reach for a QB.

32 - SD Chargers - Paul Williams - WR - Lets be honest with a good WR SD may have the top offense in the AFC, but McCardel and Parker will not get the job done.

16 - Miami Dolphins - Jake Long - OL - This is the next great linemen ina long line of Mich OL. We bite the bullet here, and take the big nasty that we need to protect our QB for a long long time.

will be back later with the final 16 picks.[/quote]

Please, I'm begging you all- get over your puppy love man-crushes on a player who won't even be the best available at LT when we pick.

LT is a distant four in terms of priority to CB, WR and OLB next year. We have enough to work with on the OL and a LT unless it was Joe Thomas would be a huge waste.

We need a Jarrett or a Willis or someone who can contribute right away. Contrary to what you all imagine is Miami's biggest problem we have invested heavily in FA and draft picks not to mention a million dollar position coach.

Cornerback and getting younger on D, plus getting a playmaker at WR or TE should be MUCH higher priorities.

no way brohm goes top 5...a lot of experts like russell better than brohm

did you forget somone........? to answer you question its yes, i beleive you missed somone name Troy Smith!!!!!! the Heisman Trophy winner!!!!

There is no way Calvin Johnson slides that far. And if he did there is no way Washington takes him

They already have Santana Moss and overpaid for Randle El last year, not to mention traded draft picks for Brandon Lloyd

Right, those same experts said that Cutler was better than Vince Young.

I see the Texans going after Adrian Peterson.

FYI- Brian Brohm has already said that he is planning on coming back for his senior year

Winning the Heisman means nothing for where you get drafted. And not having Smith in the top 16 at this point is probably accurate.

With Moss and Porter having their problems in Oakland, it would make sense for them to draft Johnson. Another possibility would be for them to trade that pick and possibly pick up Ginn later on.
I think the Bucs would go after Branch before G. Adams because they need size along the defensive line.

Although others have shown that it shouldn't matter but I think Smith lack of idea height (between 5'10" & 6') will knock him down into atleast the 2nd round.

I personally think Troy Smith will be a good NFL QB i think NFL scouts and coaches will let his height factor into his draft status, and will be the 4th or 5th QB selected. Guys going ahead of him QUinn, Brohm (if he declares), JaMarcus Russel, and Drew Stanton, and possibly Jordan Palmer and or Kevin Kolb could all go before him.

While i hope we get a Big WR in the mold of Jarret, Dwayne Bowe, or Sydney Rice, I think we will get a big mauler. Just what i think will happen.

As for the Texans going after AP i think it is very possiable, but Kubiak is trying to build a great D, and thinks he can make an offense work. Alot will depend on how Dominick Davis is healing.

You cant keep going on about his size will knock him down. Smith is a first round pick.

I didnt say he wasnt a 1st rounder. I said at this point not having in the top 16 isnt unrealistic or a big mistake on the original posters fault. And his size will knock him down some, just not out of the 1st round.
