No Ellerbe, Misi, Wheeler...

McCain, Jenkins, Trusnik, come in and absolutely shut down Vereen, Gronk, Wright.

I thought the pats were going to kill Destroy them especially with there misdirection stuff/screens, but our linebackers didn't bite once, they tackled well too, and didn't over peruse, and quite frankly, they were pretty damn good in coverage.

And it wasn't like bellichek wasn't trying, he went after them.

This team has legit depth! And Props to coyle for coaching these guys up.

I have to give PROPS to Duffy. Without him, this would have been a major problem, not only for today but for the entire season. Great job by the backups but an even greater job by an under the radar pickup.

i have to agree. Them and knowshon are the mvps of this game.... btw any update on the LBS

The question is, will the coaching staff keep these guys in who played well or we automatically go back to Wheeler just because of the belief that he's starter material? Frankly, I feel safer when he's not on the field.

I wanted to see something out of Jenkins today. I feel like he did. Sober and at home I hope I see the same. Will he be the next Patrick Willis- nah. A really good 3 rd down LB- I think so.

I loved jenkins on that wheel route play to vereen, recognized it, covered it well, put his hands up high to show refs there's no contact.

Pats waited a long time to use that play, that's one there go to plays for sure, covering vereen down there isn't easy.

Millions and Millions AND MILLIONS less than our starting LBs and they totally outplayed them. Jenkins was fantastic and McCain's got some serious star potential in what's for now a limited role as a rusher, but he does it really, really well. Once Tripp is healthy we can phase in new starters and move on from Ireland's debacles.

They did a nice job.

Though I will not give them credit for shutting down a scrub like Wright, who no one ever heard of before he was hyped by ESPN after being traded to the Pats.

Trusnik was pedestrian. Allowed the Gronk TD. Jenkins and McCain were great though.

Koa Misi was also pretty good until he got hurt.
