I just got back from my honeymoon in south Florida where i saw our team beat the 49ERS!! I thought i would tell you guys how lucky i got. Before the game i decided to try to get some autographs of players going in and out of the tunnel. I was able to get Chad Pennington, Chad Henne, John Beck, Devone Bess, and Channing Crowder. Well after the game i said what the heck i will try to get some more. I stood over where the players leave in their cars and waited and was having no luck at all. And then Joey Porter stopped his Hummer right in front of me. He signed some guys jersey and then when i put my football in his window he grabed it to sign it and just as he did a damn security gaurd came up and told Joey to keep moving. So need less to say i was pissed and i just said screw it and started walking back to my car. I got almost to the car in the middle of the lot and no one was around when Joey Porter himself came rolling up next to me. He signed my ball and said he was sorry about the security gaurd. I thought that was cool of him i just thought i would share some cool things with you guys about my first dolphins game.

That's a pretty good streak of luck. I'm especially surprised by Joey after some of the things I have heard about him. Very cool.

just goes to show the ESPN generated crap about some players is just that CRAP!!!!

no wonder this team is having the season it is with Players like that in YOUR LOCKER ROOM, behind closed doors with his Team mates i bet he is highly respected by his peers, im loving the NEW FOUND LEADERSHIP on this team, with guys like Pennington, Porter, Ferguson the future of our proud franchise is going on to bigger and better things, imo.

Thats Awsome, I am so jealous. I live in North Carolina.

I still haven't been till a damn NFL game yet. But hopefully next season, my uncle has season tickets I just gotta fly down there haha.

Ummmmm next season we will be playing IN Carolina....no need to fly anywhere my friend! I'll be coming up there for that game (from South Carolina).....PLUS, they are playing in Atlanta!! Next year will be sweet!!

Joey Porter is not some Thug you guys make him out to be, just because he has some issues does not mean he is not a well-natured person.

Watch his interviews, you can see he is a extremely nice and passionate player.

I work in the autograph industry and its just absolutely incredible the difference between some players and how they treat the public. Thats a cool story from Porter. I can tell you that to this day so far the biggest jerk off to me was Santonio Holmes. I was doing a signing and he was done with his public signing just waiting in the back room for his ride to the airport. So I went up to him told him congrats on being drafted by Pittsburgh and that I had some friends up there that were HUGE Steelers fans. Would he mind signing absolutely anything for me, even a napkin. He looked at me and I quote "Man, get out of here with that, I aint signing no napkin." I wanted to b**** slap him. LOL Rookie who had not proved anything yet was acting like some superstar. On the flip side of that you have guys who will sign anything even if they are not being paid just to make the fans happy.

So Who was the best person you have met on the other side of the spectrum?

Mario Lemieux was awesome. We had him and Gordie Howe at the same signing and they were in the back just chatting while everyone was taking pictures. Both of them EXTREMELY nice. Matt Hasselbeck was very cool and funny too. Brian Urlacher was signing behind him and Matt (who has a VERY nice sig) looks at Brian (who has a crap sig) taps and says with a straight face "Oh s**t Brian, I didnt know you knew how to write in Chinese!" Classic. Chuck Tanner (manager of the Pirates during the 70's and played with Hank Aaron on the Mil. Braves) was one of the absolutely nicest guys ever. Mike Singletary was VERY standoffish. I did his public and back room signing and he was just extremely blah and didnt really want to talk to anyone.... Trying to think... Bobby Jenks (closer for the WSox),was awesome. He was talking about the girls in line to me LOL. Ben Gordon from the Bulls was really cool. Theres just so many. But Holmes, Singletary, and Buddy Ryan were probably the biggest jerks to me. Oh yeah, and Matt Leinart's brother was a tool LOL. But thats when Matt was JUST coming into the league and they walked in like he was the king of the world.
