too high for Ginn IMO
way too low for both Woodley,Harris, and Datish (Woodley and Harris are boarderline first rounders)

I agree so far. Why are people putting Ted Ginn so high?

Are 40 times really that important? This is the best WR draft in the past 10 years and you guys want us using our first round pick on a receiver who might be the 5th best receiver available? Troy Williamson, anyone?

The way Culpepper plays, we need a big receiver, like Dwayne Jarret of USC.

Hell, waste a 4th round pick on Dallas Baker, hes proven that hes a big man who can go up for the ball...

At this point, Id rather spend a first round pick on a TE than a WR, because Randy McMichael has proven he is a complete waste of a football player and as a person

and if Lamar Woodley is in the 3rd, Miami would drop dead.. He'd be a steal, much like Channing Crowder was last year.

id love it if it happened...but it would have to wait until we find out what D our head coach will run

Is there any word on that, actually?

I dont think we'd switch to the 4-3, although we have the personnel to do it ( especially if we find ourselves picking a stud at OLB in the 2nd round.. possibly Earl Everett or Rufus Alexander. Crowder is going to move to MLB once ZT retires, and between Carter Roth and Taylor they could switch around trying to confuse defenses

Miami needs fresh Defensive Tackles to switch, though.

Ginn hasnt even ran a 40 time yet? so why would you bring that up? his football speed is amazing.

Id really hope you would understand what I meant. By 40 Time i just meant how fast the guy is, not his official 40 time ( which, yes, he has run numerous 40 times, just not a combine official 40 time, if that is what you are saying.. which, in that case.. uh.. duh? Yes, hes a track star, but he also has well over a dozen drops this season that are chalked up to " concentration errors ", he runs extremely poor routes, and he isnt a good blocker.

He's a first round pick, yes. The BOTTOM of the first round.

i agree, woodley is 1st round material. and ginn is not IMO. you don't draft a glorified dante hall in the 1st round.

Nice thoughts, and I agree with you. Cpep would mesh nicely with Jarrett, if Jarrett can be anywhere close to as good in the pro's as at USC. People salivate b/c of Ginn's reported 4.3 40 times, so I agree it's more about his 40 time than his "football speed" or actual WR abilities. He should be a low 1st or high 2nd rounder at best. Good post...
