Pro Bowl Cornerback
Offensively: I dont care what anyone says AJ and Lamar Gordon are perfect for our team. I've been reading a lot of bashing because of both of their play... its kinda upsetting to think people would actually criticise them for not performing well when it wasnt even their fault.
Our #1 goal this offseason was to improve our offensive line.... which we apparently didnt do! Our offensive line single handedly is losing us games and unless we make some moves and adjustments things wont be any different. AJ had some great passes last night and with time in the pocket i can guarantee good things from him. Our running game cant get off to a good start without the offensive line blocking and making wholes. Gordon has the talent and skill to be a 1000 yard rushing back in this league but on this team.... hes gonna be nothing until we improve this line. From what i saw last night it looks worse then it did last year! No wonder Ricky wanted to bail on us...
Defensively: I was excited to see our defense play like they should be. With Reggie Howard and Pat Surtain in the mix i can see us having the #1 defense this year if everyone stays healthy. Zach Thomas has Pro Bowl stats so far.
Special Teams: Good Kick off and punt coverage.... HORRIBLE kick returning. I dont see any organization when it comes to blocking for the returners at all. Lamont Brightful has some nice speed and skill when he gets in the open feild... but hes not gonna last in this league without holding onto the ball!
