I was there today in San Diego and it was unbelievable!!! The amount of Dolphins fans that was there representing was awsome. On to the game:
First: Steal of the draft: Channing Crowder. I don't know how he looked on TV, but live, he was all over the place making plays. He had a great game and if he continues to improve, you have to start to consider him for Defensive Rookie of the Year. He doesn't get enough pub. but he should at least be in the running. Great draft by Saban and Co.
Second: Offensive line protected Frerotte really well against a good San Diego pass rush. They are really coming along and Houck was teaching up until the last play of the game. The phylosophy that Saban has brought here is starting to take form and it's starting to show up on the field.
Third: Even though he had a drop that would have gotten us a first down, Chris Chambers is starting to get it. He's stepping up to the next level of recievers into the upper tier. Watching him live really gave me a better perspective of how good he really is.
Lastly: The Ronnie Brown fumble was actually a touchdown. No doubt. I was in a luxury box on that goal line where that happened and had a great view of it. Bare minimum was 4th and goal on the one inch line, but in reality the ball crossed the plain.
Very cool game, awesome win by our team and I'm excited about the direction we are headed. Good time are a' comin.
