Perfect for Wildcat J

7) Reed Williams 6’2 230 ILB West Virginia- West Virginia’s starting middle linebacker for the second year after sharing the starting position at strong-side linebacker in 2006 … tough, physical linebacker who is very smart … also used on special teams

What I like about this draft is that everyone is a PERFECT fit for our new team! They are all battle test proven, Experienced, and most of all SPECIAL TEAMS balers!!...

guess you got tired of getting yelled at on NFLDC huh:lol:

not a huge fan of it, but it's not a bad mock

I'd have to counter with my own version:

1. Brian Orakpo - OLB, Texas - while I like Greg Hardy, Malcolm Jenkins, or Vontae Davis better, as of right now they'll be off the board by the time Miami picks. Orakpo hasn't been as productive throughout his college career the way Hardy has, but I think he's got the ability to step in and replace Matt Roth at SOLB from day one. He's incredibly strong, and is good at the "Parcells lifts" http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/orakpo_brian00.html with the ability to bench 515, squat 600, and power clean 380. He's also got pretty good speed coming off the edge. I think he slips a little bit due to the durability factor, and the injury he suffered in the Texas Tech game, but all in all, he'd be a starter for us and Parcells has always drafted LB's wherever he's gone with early picks.

2a. Rashad Johnson - S, Alabama - I read various threads on Jeff Ireland's speech at Web Weekend and he mentioned that he's a fan of the Crimson Tide and has scouted several of their players. To me this means Terrence Cody and Rashad Johnson, but I believe Cody will stay in school. Renaldo Hill could stand to be upgraded, and if Johnson can master Saban's complex schemes, he can bring his ball-hawking skills to Miami and potentially start over Hill. I would go CB here, but I still feel we bring in a Chris Gamble type of player via free agency.

2b. Clint Sintim - LB, Virginia - The Al Groh connection here for pick 2b. While Sintim is an OLB at UVA, I think he is the replacement for Akin Ayodele in the middle. He might not have to start right away, but he's a tough tackler and a decent pass rusher, which is something we don't currently have from the inside position in our base 3-4. Sintim has nice size as well and his former roommate Chris Long said he'd be better than him in the pros; don't mind that one bit.

3. Demetrius Byrd - WR, LSU - there's always a WR that slips a little bit, and I think we might just luck into Byrd in round 3. We might have to move up to get him, but I think he's a WR prospect this regime might like. He doesn't have much experience having played JUCO ball for two years but I think he could come in and push for a starting job over Greg Camarillo, whom is a restricted free agent at season's end.

4. Brandon Underwood - CB, Cincinnati - the UC corner you haven't heard of. Brandon redshirted and played two years at Ohio State before transferring to the Bearcats. He's tall, which seems to be a Parcells/Ireland trait, and is pretty good against the run. Michael Lehan can't seem to recover from his nagging foot/ankle injuries, so I think Underwood gets a chance to unseat him as a #4 CB if Jason Allen can hold onto the nickel job.

5. Ron Brace - NT, Boston College - Brace is somewhat of an unheralded player with more of the attention gone to B.J. Raji. However, the Parcells Ireland regime developed Jay Ratliff, a 7th rounder, into a near Pro Bowl player at NT in Dallas. Brace has more prototypical size than some of the other NT prospects such as Sen'Derrick Marks or Terrence Taylor, and could definitely be a potential replacement for Paul Soliai.

7a. Demonte' Bolden - DE, Tennessee - A backup OL prospect or another WR could be had here, but I think Miami takes a chance on this guy as a convert to a 3-4 DE. Dotson and Wright haven't really done much, so who knows how they're developing, though I think Dotson will be given some time. Vonnie Holliday isn't getting any older, and it never hurts to develop backup DL talent, especially for if/when Phillip Merling takes over as a starter.

7b. Ryan Durand - G, Syracuse - not the biggest prospect in the world, but Sparano doesn't seem to require much size from his interior linemen. With the circus going on at RG right now, it never hurts to add some depth. I still question why they moved up and used a 4th round selection on Shawn Murphy...maybe it's just me but it still bugs me.

7c. Marcus McClinton - S, Kentucky - Bigger than most safety's currently on the Dolphins roster and he can move. Courtney Bryan was added to provide insurance for special teams. McClinton can do the same and can probably play some SS in certain packages.
