Well, fellow Fin fans. The year is lost. After the Cleveland game last year, we were done from the playoffs. That time has come again this year much earlier. It's time for the evaluation process to begin again. Wins and losses no longer matter, it's time to see who can do what. Don't get me wrong, I want to see wins. But it's time to shake it up a bit. Here is what I want to see the rest of the year.

First and foremost, get Daunte out there again. Wait till he's 100%, then throw him out there. He needs to find a sense of rhthym with his guys and get back to his old form. He and Chris need to get that type of relationship that Daunte had with Randy back in Minnesota. Let's find out if Daunte really is our guy of the future and give him every game to show us.

Secondly, I like the shakeup on the OL today. Let's see if that group can begin to gel and start creating some lanes and protect the QB better. If they continue to fail, plug in some of those young guys and see what they can do.

Next, make it a point of emphasis to make Ronnie a workhorse. Let's see if he can carry the ball 20 times a game from a whole season. He did great work today and let's see if he will become that super star we all see in him. Also, get the ball to the playmakers. I don't care if it is short routes or whatever, just get the ball in teh hands of Chambers and McMike and let them run after the catch.

Lastly, get our young guys in on D. We have a great defense, but they are getting old. It's time to see what Jason Allen can do, put in Yerimiah Bell and start including Matt Roth, Kevin Vickerson and Fred Evans in the defensive lineup.

Well that's just a short bit. Wins and losses are no longer important. Let's see which guys are going to fit the mold for the 2007 season. My biggest point is to get Daunte out there every Sunday and see if he is our guy, or if we need to draft a Brady Quinn.

i agree, our playoff hopes are virtually out the door and now its time to give some of the younger guys a chance and try to get daunte to the field sooner than later to see if he really is our answer, i dont think we should rush him if hes still hurt but i want to see what he can really do and if the first 4 games this season were a fluke or if hes for real

If you're giving up on wins, I'd run Travis & Sammie 20 times a game and sit Ronnie. We know Ronnie can play and a running back's lifespan is very short. I'd also sit Zack, Jason and all the old guys on the D-line. You play the young guys to see if they can actually play.

We don't see around patsfans.com much anymore Aqua4ever04 ? Care to come over and tell the fellas whats up with your team. Will you wait till the offseason and then be back ? One last question. Are you that bad a judge of football talent or are you just a homer? Some of you posts from this summer are priceless.

Why the hell would we sit Ronnie down? He needs carries and needs to prove he can carry the load for 16 games. I don't think it's fair to sit Zach and Jason either unless their unable to play.

Yeah actully I've gone back and eaten crow just about every week. I don't find it necessary any more because the division race is over. And that isn't the point of this thread dude, it's to duscuss what I want to see the rest of the year. And besides, you can't say you saw a 1-5 start from the Fins.

We've tried that and he only bobbles them until they are intercepted. I know you love Chambers Aqua. I like the guy too. I'm just unimpressed by him now more than ever. Unless he is the focal point of the offense he is worthless. Even when he is the focal point he still has those plays that make you think "Even I could catch that!" I'm not saying we get rid of him. I'm saying instead of trying to "feed" him the ball, we continue to distribute. Also, I say we talk to guys like Chris chambers, Randy McMichael, L.J. Shelton, guys on offense who are making big dollars and ask those guys to restructure. Ask those guys to take paycuts. Guys like Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, when Surtain and Madison and Marion and all those guys were here to do those things for us to get an offense they did. Now it's time for these guys to. They continually underperform.

Very good post man. And you're right, I do love the guy. I think I have made it quite clear he is my favorite Dolphin. And as hard as it is, right now, I have to say you're right. He has been a big let down early on this year. He is getting all of his numbers in garbage time. My question is why can't we compete the whole game like we do in the 4th quarter. We did it last year too. We really are a differnt team in the 4th quarter. As for the restructering, you're right. All of our other leaders have restructured and I think these other guys need to realize they are not worth what they are being paid. L.J Shelton looked good at guard yesterday and if he continues will save his job with us. He has been a big let down so far.

You should see some of his posts on here this Fall. JK, actually why don't you just go back to your hole where you crawled out from? Everyone on this site is a bit of a homer, that's the whole premise of the site. Many on here have valued opinions worth consideration. What have we seen from you Pats fans or the Jets fans or the Jills fans? Homerism of your own team, and now you want to come here and rub it in. Well we're just so impressed. My god I hope karma comes and bites you in the keyster, because there will come a day when your team is going through the same pain we are, and when that day comes I think I'll have to just visit and lord it over you to help you feel worse too.

By the way we're terribly impressed with your grammar skills, try proofreading your posts once in a while, its embarrasing for Pats fans.

The playoffs are pretty much out of the window but I will still watch. Saban needs to see which guys want to play and which guys are just checking in for the paycheck. Give the younger guys a shot and make the best of things.

Ronnie can play???

Yeah he can play on some days, but he is not consistent, he needs all the time he can get, he can be great but he needs to get some break out speed and just run the damn ball and dump that stutter crap that usually gets him stuffed, but I agree the season is definitly out the window....

The Patriots have been through plenty of "rough patches". This really is a first for the Miami franchise.

The Patriots are good. They're like the Yankees. Until someone beats them, you have to pick them (as far as division). Just be thankful the Denver Broncos aren't in the division. They're like the Patriots kryptonite.

Of course I'll watch the rest of the season. I'll remember to not get overhyped about a strong finish. I'll still wear my Ronnie Brown jersey proudly. I will still hope we win every game.

i think this team is so sorry i mean we all should seen it coming but we were all blinded from optimisim i dont believe daunte is our qb our "whole secondary" needs to be replaced and the rest of the defense except for a few are on last legs. the o-line played well because it has a qb who doesnt care about his qb rating (remember an incomplete pass hurts your rating and hurts your raise and bonuses) although the o-line needs lots of improvement.
mare is making something like 2 mil for a kicker who has been on decline our wr are average if not below i mean its sick the amount of passes they drop on a consistant basis r.brown is still learning whichc is ok but still lacks vision
although he is solid and why are we running sammy morris so much? when he is a poor runner and avg blocker? when he was at 4 carries for -3 yards and they gave hime the ball again and fumbled and ruined the game putting the d in a short field which our weak offense always does.I've always defended saban and its only his 2nd season so i wont critisize him so much except for please lose mularky i've never seen a worse offenseive play book.i still try to stay optimistic even though our team blows really bad.well maybe we can draft a qb and a shutdown qb for the future because daunte is gonna be 31 and on one leg so i really dont seem him sticking around very long.well all we can do is hope go dolphins!!!! go where i dont know yet.

What? Have you been living in a vacuum - Daunte is history. He's not going to be "100%" according to expectations of the 2004 Daunte, the Pro Bowl Daunte, ever again. Sorry to break this news to ya but I agree with Jimmy Johnson and other observers who are saying ...the guy is toast.

The only reason local media aren't saying it - is the PC deal with Saban, they can't go against the Team party line. Come on man. Naturally Saban and the Team don't want to admit they made a HUGE mistake. I suspect they realized it back in training camp - which is the reason Daunte was allowed to start. They figured might as well get this over with.

What you are saying about C-Pepp also goes for Harrington - finding a rhythm with our WR's and building a relationship with Chambers. The healthy QB with upside is Joey Harrington, in case you haven't noticed.

My biggest point is to get Daunte out there every Sunday and see if he is our guy, or if we need to draft a Brady Quinn.
Good laugh. So take the risky move of drafting a rookie QB - when we've got a #3 draft pick QB with four years of NFL experience, right here. Has Joey Harrington ever gotten a chance with a decent TEAM? OK - just draft a rookie QB and make him the Savior right? That's what Detroit and Houston were thinking back in 2002. :)

You know why because 4th quarter defense are manly protecting there lead, give you some space, but just enough, so you don't come back.... thats why 4th quarters are miamis best
