1st Larry English OLB-NIU (6-3 255lbs)-The best OLB available at pick #25. He is an excellent pass rusher and has great instincts in the pass coverage. He will test well at the combine.

2nd Louis Delmas FS-W. MIchigan (5-11 195lbs)Will be given the opportunity to win the starting FS spot from day 1 of training camp. The best FS prospect in the draft in my opinion.

2nd Darius Butler CB-Conneticut (5-11 190lbs)-Playmaker we need in the secondary to go along with Delmas. He has excellent speed, fluid hips, can cover one on one, and support the run.

3rd Louis Murphy WR-Florida (6-3 205lbs)-He is very similar to Darius Heyward-Bay in terms of size and speed, but he is a better blocker. Has nice potential. Only concern is that Florida WR never seem to transition to the NFL very well.

4th Tyrone Mckenzie LB-South Florida (6-2 235lbs)-Played OLB in college, but will play inside in a 3-4 defense. He has the frame to get a little bigger.

5th Augustus Parrish OT-Kent St (6-5 305lbs)-Played 3 years at left tackle in college. Has excellent feet, athleteism, and has the room to get bigger and stronger. Could be a really good late round prospect.

7th Sammie Lee Hill NT-Stillman (6-4 330lbs)-Has everything you want physically for an NFL nose tackle. But the jump up in competition is going to take him some time. He will probably be chosen earlier then this based on potential.

7th Frantz Joseph ILB-Florida Atlantic (6-2 245lbs)-The only thing about him not to like is his lack of speed. Fills the hole hard against the run and knows how to shedd blocks. He was NOT invited to the NFL combine.

7th Herb Donaldson RB-Western Illinois-Extremely productive in college. He will fall further in the draft then he should because he won't run a real fast 40 yd time. He's going to be a steal.

This mock was made with the assumption that we also sign FA Jason Brown and resign Vernon Carey. Enjoy.

Larry English and Tyrone McKenzie are both weakside OLBs. Why draft both, especially when we still have Porter on the roster?

IMO, English will be not be there at 25, he will post CRAZY combine #s; and McKenzie will be long gone before the 4th round too.

I like the Delmas and Butler picks. I wouldn't mind that at all.

We need someone to replace Porter in a year or 2 thats why I chose English. And I think Mckenzie could play inside for us. Plus more pass rushing that we really need.

The first 3 picks are real good. I'm not a fan of Murphy's . . . I dunno, maybe it isn't fair, but I'm not touching any Florida WR's. Depending on FA, I would take the best available C . . . hopefully Caldwell or Wood is still available.

Planning ahead is cool, no problem with that. English would make a great replacement for Porter.

I think McKenzie is too small (230-235 lbs) and not physical enough for the inside in 3-4. He needs space to be effective. He wouldn't get that in our scheme.

But you are right. We do need to find a way to create more pressure on the QB from other positions.

Actually McKenzie weighed 244 at the senior bowl, he is athletic and has fairly long arms. I definately think that he could play ILB in MIA's scheme. Bradie James came out of LSU weighing 235-240 when Parcells selected him. MIA is going to have to convert an outside guy more than likely just because there are not a whole lot of ILB's in this draft. Mckenzie and Sintim seem like the most likely options of the top guys. That being said there is no way McKenzie is dropping to the bottom half of the 4th round.

I dont think Larry English will be available at 25. But all in all nice mock. I do like your 2nd Louis Delmas FS-W. MIchigan pick.
good job.

I'd stay as far away from UF receivers as possible. I can't think of one great one in the NFL.

The ONLY decent one I can think of is Ike Hilliard. Guys like: Reche Caldwell, Dallas Baker, Jabbar Gaffney, Taylor Jacobs, Reidell Anthony, Jacquez Green, Chad Jackson, etc. have pretty much sucked in the NFL.

English is a reach in the first round unless he has a great Combine there is no way he is draft in the first round IMO he is another Vernon Gholston just not as good

now every1 jumping on THE Larry English Bangwagon

after I put him in my MOCK draft
and was crucified for it in DEC.
