"Oklahoma WR Malcolm Kelly said that he measured in around 6'3 5/8 and 224 pounds. He's not going to run or lift as he said that a quad injury that he originally thought was just a thigh bruise turned out to be a mild strain, so he wasn't getting the proper treatment for the injury.

Kelly said that he knows that at the NFL level you have to rely more on reaction and that the area he'll be striving to improve is getting in and out of his breaks, because at the pro level he knows that will be more challenging. He's talked to the Dolphins since arriving in Indianapolis."

Thanks for the information Boomer. Someone is giving Kelly some good advice about needing to improve on his getting in and out of his breaks faster. If only he would be available in the 2nd round. Maybe not being able to run could cause his stock to drop like Jarrett and Rice's did last year.

yes, i have always thought that malcolm kelly is the best WR in the draft. i doubt he makes it out of the first

Man it would be great if Kelly fell to 32 because I agree Kelly is the best all-around WR imo.

I think the WR that will fall out of the first round could possibly be Sweed just because of his injuries.

Boomer what are your thoughts on Marcus Monk? Nice big target who would be a first round pick if it wasn't for injuries. Do you know what other WR the Dolphins have talk to at the Combine?

Proof that this draft has alot of depth at WR aswell as OL wich happens to be 2 "needs", thats why it would be great to trade down and get another high pick or two..

Personally I think a healthy Mario Manningham is the most talented WR in this years class, should be interesting to see who falls where.

I don't see Kelly falling out of the first round. If we trade down and get him with an extra pick I would be very pleased. Not sure how that will all play out. But Hardy, Doucet and sweed are the ones i could see being at the 32nd spot.

Thanks for the post boomer.

Boomer - Any thoughts on Devin Thomas? I've seen him anywhere from late 1st to early 3rd.

I like Kelly but I doubt he lasts past the 1st round if he posts a good 40 time or vertical. If we're lucky, he'd be available with our first 2nd rounder.

If we don't take JLong #1, I'll be surprised if we don't go OL with #32. There should be a run on the OT's in the early/mid 2nd rd.

Kelly is near the top of the class in hand size and arm length at the combine.

in this draft, u can get quality OL's and WRs in the 2nd day.

though i do think defense is a much bigger need this draft. last draft we spent everything on offense, and we are slowly getting better. we just need to figure out the OL a little more.

but defense, we need everything. i wouldnt be MAD if we took malcolm kelly early, because he can surely help....but we need defensive playmakers badly, more than anything.

Hardy is the one that looks to be interesting to me...alot like K. Johnson.

hardy just ran a 4.47. thats amazing for his size.

n JOsh johnson the QB from SD ran a 4.44

Adarius Bowman ran a 4.69!

Jonathan Stewart put up 28 on the bench. If he runs in that Fred Taylor range of 4.39, he might go as high as 6 to the Jets, IF the ankle checks out.

Tashard Choice had 30 reps. Felix Jones had 8.

Matt Ryan ran a 4.9, Flacco a 4.73. Dexter Jackson is the fastest so far at 4.27, with DeShaun Jackson at 4.31. Manningham had a 32 inch vertical, Sweed a 35.

et cetera.

Lol... i think we may only have 2 receivers that are signed bro, Ginn and Hagan.. I would love to add Hardys size (who IMO is going to be the best value at WR this draft) to that trio and another cheap FA and resign carmillo and I would be content with that WR corp. I agree with you in that we shouldnt take a WR super early, but a pick has to be devoted to that spot on day one.
