Dennis Green or Jay Fiedler (or both) as offensive coaches next year. Let all the high priced vets go through trade or free agency, we can't afford to pay stars on a slacker team. Get draft choices. Draft potential in the low rounds. Maybe trade off the 1st rounder for several lower round picks. Build for the future. The present is dead. Saban has one year to show progress. Progress can be defined as developing a lot of younger players that we have drafted.

Easy for you to say.

You don't think we need a core of young developing players or you don't like the coaching additions? :goof:

Something tells me you are going to be "officially" fired as the GM of the Dolphins within the day.

Too easy.

Like I would do worse than any of them are doing now.:sidelol:

Want it broken down for you?

Ok, the reasons. Dennis is gonna go with the cards. He won't stay. Daunte had success under Dennis, I believe Jay was also a QB under Dennis. Jay is a great athelete, out to the shoulders, and then he is an also ran type QB in the arm department. But Jay was a winner, which means he had a brain. We need a brain as a QB coach, maybe he can vulcan mind meld with Daunte.

On the other hand, I think we're so lost we aren't going to be back in contention for a while. That's why the younger player approach. Somebody needs to be brought in to save Daunte, because he's the best possible QB solution we have. Maybe we CAN get back on our feet next year. In any case we need to be planning for 3 years from now, because realisticly, that's the soonest we will be a winning team again.

i think we might be better served if we promoted from within. i dont know if any of our offensive coaches are ready but if one is i would go that route

Jay then.

Jay wouldn't be a promotion from within? C'mon, that guy gave blood for this team.

Laugh all ya want, but Cleo is the guy. He's in the same mold as DC in his prime (long gone) and Donavon McNabb. Why he starts who he does, only he knows. Fred E and Kevin V were tearing it up in preseason, and are in-active all year?:dolphins:
