I want to go on record saying I was alittle dissapointed we didnt draft any DBs, but the more I thought about it the more it didnt suprise me as much.
First off we did bring in 5 DB during FA. I know they arent flashy players, but servicable non the less.
Next how bad are the guys from last season?? Last offseason DBs werent a huge concern. Yeremiah Bell seemed ready for a big season. Travis Daniels, Andre Woodson, and Will Allen figured to be solid starters. But then the injury bug hit extremely hard. This left us scrabbling to fill the saftey position bringing in guys like Donivon Darius, Courtney Bryan and Lance Schulterz.
But I think another key thing we have to realize is the emergence of Lehan, and Jason Allen after the other guys were injured. The first thing the new regime did when they came to Miami was re-sign Lehan therefore they must like his potential. Also Jason Allen played very well down the stretch and probably will start at safety come week 1.
