We ran the ball 12 times for 19 yards , and 8 of those runs was out of shotgun. Okay, I'll say it again. THIS WILL NOT WORK IN THE NFL. I don't blame Ryan Tannehill one bit this game. He put up some great numbers for a defense that knew he was passing. This game was lost cause Bill Lazor offense is pathetic. His style wont work in this league.

Yes, the penalties were absurd. We also missed the field goal that didn't help. I'm just almost certain if we ran the ball like a normal NFL football team. That would open up more space in the passing game. I believe we would have won that game 37-20.

Okay you can call me crazy. I sat on my couch today. 16 beers deep, And knew what Miami was running. Can you imagine what a NFL coaching staff was thinking. Bill Lazor offense is very predictable,  and its going nowhere in the NFL. This is my opinion,  and you don't have to agree with me. I watch a lot of football,  and this style is terrible. I hope we rebound against Buffalo. Go Phins

Running game cost us today. Shouldve ran less or better yet not at all.

We lost simply because Tannehill did a terrible job covering Robinson, missed a fg and commited bonehead penalties. Tannehill must go.

I disagree. We only ran the ball, in my eyes 4 times because 8 of them we're at a useless shotgun.

We lost because we don't do anything great. This team has no identity on offense or defense.

our defense gave up 33 points in 2 games. That's 16.5 points a game average. that's pretty good

Lazor is limited by an OL that can't run block...

You'll have to explain to me how it's Bill Lazor's fault that we ran the ball 12 times for 19 yards.

I think it's the fault of the O line, and Lamar Miller having a terrible day seeing the running lanes.

We run a spread option / read option, which means that we will be running out of the shotgun.

Last year, Lamar Miller ran for 1,099 yards, with a 5.1 yds/carry (2nd among NFL running backs).

And as a team, we averaged 4.7 yds/carry (#2 out of 32 NFL teams)

So I disagree with your assertion that running out of the shotgun (spread option / read option) "will not work in the NFL".

We can't block, we can't tackle, we can't catch, we can't run. Other than that we're fine.

I'm so happy you said this. Most of Miller's big yard runs were not in shotgun. Next

Defenses adjust...just like defenses figured out how to play the wildcat, defenses have adjusted to the zone read. At some point the execution has to be better, the players need to execute blocking schemes better. That's not happening.

The other issue is that Miller gets nicked up the more he runs the ball...and he was dancing too much today.

Just watch the Green Bay game and that's how we should be playing

Based on what? 90% of Lamar Miller's highlight runs were out of the shotgun. That includes his 97 yd TD run, which was from the shotgun.

Every team knows we run the ball out of shotgun. This team is going to go 7-9 if Bill Lazor don't adjust. It's not fooling anyone no more
