i think this would be our best move for one he has head coaching exp for gods sake he was on the texans the afc's lions, i dont think anyone would get it right there and look at what he did for our did for our d we have always been a defensive team for as long as i can remember also we

I agree with you, hiring Capers is the logical choice.

He knows the team and did a nice job with the defense this year. That might also be a factor in JT's decision to stay, if he feels comfortable with the new HC. If Huizenga goes out and hires an unproven coordinator, I think Capers looks for a job elsewhere. I wouldn't think he would stick around and watch a newbie get the job. I could be wrong about that though.

ya..capers did really well in houston

I don't want Capers. They need to bring someone in from the outside, perferrably an offensive minded coach. Also, a real GM would help.

I would rather have Capers as head coach than Mularkey ANY day!
But I think the BEST move would be to have Capers stay as D Coord, and bring in an Offensive minded guy to be the Head Coach. Maybe Norm Chow or Cam Cameron, or even Mike Martz. Detriot had a hell of a passing attack this year under Martz.

Maybe promote Jason Garrett to OC.

But no matter what... FIRE MULARKY!

you cant really use that against him coaches do great on team and can suck on the next look at the lions with marriucci and martz two superbowl coaches that had powerful teams i think dom proved himself this year to take the mantle.

Capers would be the best choice and he would be able to keep the continuntity on the team that is needed for next season.

We shouldn't be promoting from within. There's some very solid HCing candidates out there this year, and I think one of them would be a better choice in the long term. Capers is a very good DC, and I respect him, but his head coaching experiences haven't been very successful....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

i said as long as i can remember...:cooldude:

Short term memory problems?

I agree that for years we had a rockin offense and no D... now we have the opposite problem. So what we need is someone who can fix the offense, ya know?
