It is always tough loosing to division rivals and this loss was tough for myself and most fans. There were some good things about the game and obviously a lot of things need to be worked on. One thing that i really liked and i think says alot is that we didn't turn the ball over. Other than late in the game when ferotte was just forcing the ball and trying to make a play we played smart football and didnt fumble/throw picks. Randy Mcmichael is a great player and will be huge for us this year. He stretches the middle of the field and eventually will open things up for us in the running game with his presence alone(as soon as our line doesnt have to rely on him for max protect) I think our D played pretty good espiecally in the 2nd half although i felt we should of had some big plays with pennigton lobbing the ball way to much to wide open recievers. IMO i think our Defense played chad pennington the wrong way, i didnt see a need to blitz as much as we did. I think we should have forced pennington to throw into coverage rather than having him read blitz and getting the ball out quicky. It seems like he always had someone open. We made some mental mistakes and some dumb penalties but i believe we will overcome the penalties. The main thing fans have to realize is that our players are playing under a whole new coaching staff and it will take some time in getting use to/comfortable. We played a good team at a place that is hard to win at. Ronnie Brown will be fine and will be a very good player in the future. We have a great base defence and some very good talent on offence. Don get too down by this loss we are still a talented team too many people are overreacting.
