Why do we always play at our opponents level? We are clearly better than this...........

Its a common thing for many teams, the nfl is a very competitive and physical sport. they are all professionals and the term any given sunday was coined for a reason.

i think this is because the dolphins are overrated right now. the truth is Miami needs two more drafts before anyone should even think about playoffs. Remember gusy, the dolphins have yet tocross the threshold from being a bad team to being a good team , think , people, think, if it wasnt for our schedule Miami would be worse off then the lions.
The coaching staff neeeds to do a little better job of getting the guys ready to play. I think next year could really be a tough year because of our schedule so this club needs to keep searching for some players at certain positions .

would you rather lose the next 5 games ,then get get better players and make the playoffs next year or win the rest of the games this year and then have a 3 -13 type of season next year ?
I want to win as many games as possible but we need to get a top 10 pick this year so when get over the hump next year. this is what most other teams fans think or at least teams with traditions.

Who said the Dolphins are playing down to their opponent? Maybe the Dolphins aren't the juggernaut you think they are.
The Dolphins are a good team. Not great, not average. They still need a draft or two to become a great team and until that happens, which it will over the next season or two, games will be close.
An occasional *** kicking will happen, like the Pats game but its more unlikely then anything else.
Look at the Redskins. They are a more complete team then the Dolphins and have won the same amount of games. But, the Redskins have won all of their games by 7 points or less while losing to the Rams at home and barely beating Cleveland and Detroit.
It's a common theme in the NFL but not many on this board get that. The crowd here is all about fantasy numbers and Madden high scoring offenses.
This Rams team beat the Redskins and Cowboys back to back. They also took the Gmen to overtime. The Rams are better then their record and with a healthy Stephen Jackson they can beat ANYONE. We won, we have a crucial game next week against the Bills.

i agree with you. we need to learn to bury the teams we are supposed to beat but its the NFL...any given sunday

Picking top 10 guarantees you NOTHING. Have you bothered noticing that the Patriots and Colts and other WINNING franchises pick in the bottom half of the draft every year? Ever notice how the same teams are always picking first? All picking high assures you is a bigger contract. And helps build a wonderful losing culture. You think it would be a good thing to undo all the winning attitude thats been instilled here lately? Sucking is OK once we get a higher pick? Wow. Worst post ever.
This is a total myth.
How bout when we beat Denver on the road or DESTROYED the pats on the road? Was that playing to their level? Come on man.
How bout the level of competition in the NFL is SO CLOSE that one or two plays is the difference in winning and losing and the difference in 5 win teams and playoff teams. When are people going to realize this fact?
Which is exactly why we cant keep players on the team who show a consistant problem with turning the ball over(I think we are ok there) or guys who mess up the KEY LITTLE THINGS that cost us games, such as FORGETTING THE PLAY (ehewhem throat clear). Those are LOSING PLAYERS that will get you beat in crucial spots. And getting beat in just one crucial spot is enough to make the difference in winning the division and sitting at home in January. Which in turn can be the difference in hoisting the Lombardi Trophy(the entire reason for playing) and not.

Yep. That guy is just another losing fan with a losing mentality. Btw, teams like NE and Indy consistantly win, not only because they draft well, but because they have elite QBs. You know......like MATT RYAN.....DOH. :err:
let's not forget that we aren't exactly a talented team. We have talent in certain places, but we aren't world beaters. The thing I love about our team is we have a lot of gus who are just fighters (Cobbs, Bess, Camarillo, Bell). We win because we out work our opponents. Sometimes we click on all cylinders and go crazy like we did in NE, other times we have outputs like we did today. It happens.

Last year the argument was we were a better team than our record indicated because we would lose close games... but the truth to that is we were a bad team BECAUSE we lost close games.
The difference in todays game was that we were a team that knew what it had to do to win and not a team that tried not to lose.
It's not where you pick but the quality of the pick and I don't care what other teams fans think.
