I was a fan of him even after he was first suspended. Saying we should get him he was just like C Dillion, etc. Then I found out about the fight. On the ultimate "family" team with an awesome QB, he does not fit in. He is still unhappy. The Eagles are what teams want to become (most teams anyway). A winner with good ownership, lots of talent and a fun environment. If that is what we want to become and he didn't fit in there, why would we want him to fit in here? He won't. This guy is the perfect example of someone who can be made an example of. Talent, fights through pain, productive and size, but classless and trash. Whether he likes it or not he is a role model. Some kid in grade school or high school sees that he can be like that and the league will keep taking him back then we will just keep getting more of him. Start an NFL black book and put his name at the top of the list, never to play again and we will see attitudes change. Don't get me wrong, I love personality and trash talking and all that, but well yeah you guys understand.

Dont worry about it, I respected TO, before this season, he wont play anywhere again IMO, who would take him?

some one will take him.. low contract.. we took dbo after he had been thru a lot.. illegal substances, assualt.. some ones gonna take a shot on him.

EDIT** I dont think anyone will trade for him and PHilly wont want his cap burden so i think hell be released.. then the low contract and all that will happen

I too had some respect for TO before the whole "Thinking of my family I'm only making 7 Million" thing this past offseason. I don't mind trash talk, but not about your own team, I'd be upset if Ronnie started dissin Gus. Not cause I like Gus, but it's the principle, you don't point fingers on a team. Once he did that I think everyone lost respect for him...

you were a fan of T.O before the fight with douglas? now your not? hugh was the one that started it.

Yup, he will play somewhere next year for a very low contract with incentives.

T.O. is NOTHING but a loud mouth, egotistical, selfish, puke who shouldn't be picked up by ANY team.:yell:

Yes, he has talent, but his negatives FAR AND AWAY over shadow any thread of positive that he has.

There's just simply NO excuse, or reason, for him to continually act the way he does!!!!!!!!!

Good Riddence to T.O. The NFL is DEFINITELY better off WITHOUT him!

just to let u know i dont want TO, but i just wanna know.. do u think the upside of a young qb (our probable situation next year) to throw to a guy like TO outweighs the downside that if the qb stuggles hell get called out by TO and possibly lose confidence. Because personally i think he would make the rook look good, but if not it could hurt the rook emotionally pretty bad

if we get him i will be very mad and wont know what to do

I still like him. we only know what the media is saying. we do not know what is going on behind closed doors. The media has always hated T.O and embraced Ray lewis, A guy that was brought up on murder charges. go figure. I did not agree with him blasting his QB and team. But there is no better talent in this league at WR. I still like him.

i disagree that teams won't want T.O., hes still the best the game has to offer reguardless. sure, hes not well looked apon, but the broncos would take him. the falcons would take him. Minny would take him. damn, if oakland wasn';t in cap hell i bet they'd trade porter for owens. he'll get what he wants in the end.

A varied group of opinions, all of which have merit :D However, this isn't the first time this has happened, remember Keyshawn? He seems to have learned his lesson and is playing well and remains somewhat quiet. T.O. has never been a team player and has bashed every QB he's played with :shakeno: He doesn't deserve to be a player on any team, and doubt he will anytime soon. He is a Cancer :fire: and good for Philly for showing him the door!

they wont release him by choice... but eventually theyll either have to cough up some money or trade him.. but i dont think anyone will pay their asking price or want to take on his current salary.

Just like everyone said Ricky would never play again and if he did not for this team, I still thought it was possible and never ruled it out. While TO will most likely never fit in anywhere long term (he is 32 by the way I believe), I think someone will jump right on and sign him to a big contract (not what he's looking for), but I still think there are quite a few teams would take TO. My prediction is TO will be playing next year and that the media will be all over where he goes, I really don't think there's anyway he'll be coming to Miami.
