ima go out on a limb guys...

Miami will Trade Joey Harrington for a first day pick, DC will be the "starter" and remember he is already 30 next year or 31 so he doesnt seem to have much time left on his already damaged knee/llife in the NFL.

Miami will draft a QB if one of the top 3 fall in round 1 to us to etiher GROOM for next year or to pplay/push DC to play well as it is invetiable he is going to be a goner. EVen if he comes back to his full potential/MVP form for 2-3 years, that would be enough time for the rookie to start ala Rivers sitaution and maybe trade DC for wathevre we can get or just release him.

That probably isn't as far fetched as some I've heard. Though I don't think we would get anything near a first day pick for Harrington. I would be shocked if we got anything above a 5th round pick. And the only way I see us taking a QB with a first day draft pick is if there is just absolutely no one of the proper value available at a position we need where we are picking. That being said, I wouldn't mind having a young QB learning behind a solid starter.

Really, I thought maybe we might get at least a 3rd rounder. Some team may give up a 1st day pick for him.

I would think an early second day pick but not a first. You never know, we may even keep Joey around. He now knows the system, has some confidence and is young. Hopefully we do not just trade him to amass more draft picks and give him up for nothing.

no first day pick (no worse than mid third IMO, if he wins out maybe at worst 2nd since QBS are hot commodities)keep him he is a good backup to have and better to have a familiar backup that can win games then an unknown. Im sure we could get a 2nd or 3rd if he finishes strong from a team like oakland, arizona, or even minnesota. Hell detroit might even trade a first rounder knowing how they do things there.

Dont Trade Joey. We still need to see what Cpep can do and if he is healthy. If not we will need Joey.

Why do you people want to trade the only starting caliber QB on the roster? Going 1-4 or whatever we were with Cpep wasn't bad enough for you? If you want to trade a QB, then trade Culpepper. And if no team is stupid enough to give you a third or fourth round pick for him, they probably know something that we inexplicably don't. Culpepper is worthless. He should be cut/traded.

JH, while nothing special, is at least better than that.

I'd be surprised if we got a first day pick from anyone other than some of the delusional fans here, but a first day pick would be a nice return for our 5th/6th pick.

1st day pick or not .... I believe SABAN learned a lesson this year --

Thus, unless Culpepper shows SIGNIFICANT improvement, he will NOT let Harrington go .... why --

1- He is relatively cheap next year ...

2- We CAN win with him ... not a SB mind you ... but we can do at LEAST as well as we did with Fiedler ... if he can limit his TOs to <1 a game ...

3- Even with the anticipated turnover this offseason on DEFENSE -- the DEFENSE next year 'should' be at LEAST as good as this year ... most likely will be even BETTER with an impact OLB ... so we don't need more than a Fiedler / Frerotte type season to 'win' ...

4- The best we could do for him would be a 3d rounder ...

5- Finishing 8-8 will likely push us out of the 'top' QB prospects again this year ... just like Cutler last year

Assuming we finish 8-8 / 9-7 ... 8-8 is most likely -- anything less than 10 games next year will be a severe disappointment ... so we can't afford to go 1 - ??? the 1st part of next year ...

Cleo Lemon will NOT start for us -- so forget that option ...

Exactly. This QB merry-go-round has to stop sometime, and now is a good time. It would not surprise me one bit if we get a QB on day 1.

we cant count on c-pep at all right now.when you can't recover from rehab.get a second surgery, and hasn't really played in two years.hell throw in how to read defense's.i just woudnt pin all my hope's on him taking the fins to the super bowl.i hope i'm wrong though.

Your points 1 & 2 are EXACTLY the reasons why Joey Harrington WILL BE HERE next year.

Please back up your post with something other than a Dolphin hating opinion. Your comments make me and I’m SURE many others laugh out loud when we read them. I’m sure you’ll come up with some other worthless comments to attempt to back up your opinion, but without some reasonable backup it sounds like a child not getting his way.

At this point Harrington is not a better QB either as a Dolphin or in his career. Statistically, the team has improved since Harrington has been the starting QB. The O-line has begun to gel and shore up the front, the defense has played better, including the secondary and our running game has improved. Do you credit Harrington for all that? I could care less if Cpep, Joey, Cleo or even Marcus Vick were under center as long as they perform at the level we need them to get deep into the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, Daunte still has a lot to prove and I think Saban made a mistake by starting him too soon, but to say that Joey is the only starting QB on this roster is truly ignorant.

With the Dolphins

Player---Compl %---Rating

Daunte --60.4 ------77.0
Joey -----59.3 ------72.9

Career
Player ---Compl % --Rating

Daunte ---64.2 ------90.8
Joey ------55.5 ------68.9

Between you and “Redneck Friend†I think you compile this site’s most unintelligent and Fin hating posts! Nearly every post I read is about Saban and every other thing there is to hate about this team.

I ask you this…If you seem to hate everything there is about this team…WHY WHY WHY do you remain a Dolphin fan?
