I was really suprised that Sparano waived Peele and Mauia. Peele seemed to be a complete TE. Really good blocker and could stretch the field a little. And Mauia, (AKA: THE JUGGERNAUT) This stumped me a little as well. I guess his lack of special teams ability got him his walking papers. Not to mention his off the field issue, knocking dudes out!!! Edmund Miles should have stuck around too. He seemed to be tearing it up on special teams. I guess he didn't show enough in the defensive packages. Jayson Foster is a suprise also. Thought he was a lock as a returner!! All in all, the way the roster shapes up is a lot more compelling then last years model. I look for them to have a decent season. I wouldn't be surprised if we are knocking on the wildcard door at the end of the season. Especially the way the "D" played this preseason!! Second least amount of points against in the league!!! Promising!!! Keep it up!

peele was just too expensive i believe,,, just saw it posted in another thread he was set to make $1.9 million this season. he'll find work, could even return here if no one makes him a great offer

Jayson Foster will probably be on the practice squad. I think it was Armstrong's play that made him expendable.

Actually I believe it was Bess' play, since he's listed as the #2 returner. Foster's only use would've been as a returner, since he's too short to be a receiver.

I dont understand why we couldnt just keep lorenzo booker and turn him into a slot reciever!

Booker is too small. And Parcells likes BIG GUYS at every position

booker is the same size as devone bess. Faster than devone bess. shiftier than devone bess. the only thing bess has on booker is his nice a$$ dreds

i don't get the Bess love on this board. Bess made this team because he is an OK player at a position where Miami is awful at. And if Bess could fetch us a 4th round pick in return, Parcells would trade him too!!!!!!!!

Bess won't be on this team in a year from now or so once the front office starts to focus on the WR position and looks to upgrade it like they did with the D-line and O-line this past year

disagree here, I think bess could be a very good slot WR on third down and mid range 7 to 12 yards because he has hand of glue.

Right or wrong Booker is history. I really liked the guy but that's the way it goes. Second guessing roster moves is easy months later. Let's embrace the guys we have and wish our former Dolphins the best. (Just not against us  )

Peele didn't make the team because he did not shine, and the Trifecta know what they have with Ryan. Mauia did not make the team because he can't catch, does not run the ball terribly well, is an average blocker and quite honestly does not belong on an active NFL roster. Foster, Hilliard, & Brown are candidates for the practice squad.

I was really shocked by Miles getting the axe... he came in as an UDFA, and all he did was play hard and light it up on special teams. Always seemed to be giving 100%. Hope he lands somewhere that he can play.

None of the moves were surprising if you'd followed the team.
