My Thoughts on Channing

I meen, dont get me wrong, Channing has loads of potential and he can become something special for us
But one thing stands out when i look at his stats. All he can really do is make tackles. Sure, he's great at it but he has NO sacks NO ints
he had the 1 fumlbe forced last year and thats it really. He was definetly a steal in the draft but hasnt really produced as much as we all expect:dolphins:

Are you serious?? Saban and Capers are just realizing his full potential. He's BY FAR our best blitzing LB (not included JT), and he's affecting the QB tremendously. He may not be racking up sacks or FFs, but the guy has been more than solid.

The one thing I really like about Channing Crowder is when he hits someone, they typically go backwards, which is instrumental on short yardage situations.

remember we didnt start blitzing him until after the bye week and its worked pretty well so far. He will be our MLB i believe instead of a WLB. his cover skills are NOT good so dont expect INT's.

I know right.....all the guy does is his JOB and he's not that great. Derrick Brooks only has 1 INT and ZERO Sacks on the season. I guess he isn't all that great either. Derrick only has 13.5 sacks in his ENTIRE career.

I think to see his true potential, we'll really have to wait until he can move and play ILB in our scheme. But he's a definite steal.

No offense, but I think Crowder is going to be the bedrock of this defense for the next several years (once Zach retires).

ill try to help you out a bit in our system the outside linebackers arent made to get alot of sacks but are meant to make tackles...with such a great defensive line like we have linebackers blitz hoping to draw the attention of some blockers to leave Kevin Carter and Jason with only one guy and no runningback to help...


Zach leads the league in tackles according to nfl.com leaving even less tackles Crowder and does the job that asked of him...My prediction is the year after Zach retires you will see Crowder in the Pro Bowl...
