It will be a tough stretch for our players and I hope Saban will have them ready for the challenge every week, but it may be a blessing in disguise for Fin fans.

We have 4 out of 5 games on the road during this time frame and it could play to the fans favor. I'm referring to the fans who don't live near Miami and depend on DirecTV to watch the games. Hear me out...

From Oct .1 to Nov. 5 (6 weeks), we only have one game at home; one week is a bye week, which leaves only one home game (Oct. 22 vs. Green Bay). These are the weeks that are in the heart of hurricane season. So there is only one game that could be in jeopardy of us missing a game if there is a threat of a hurricane. Meteorolgists are predicting our worst hurricane season is yet to come this year.

I know some of us were upset about DirecTV not changing their policy of rescheduled games, so this could be a good thing for viewers. Just my opinion on the matter. I don't think the schedulers had this thought in mind, but who knows; maybe they did.

Talk about over analysis.

Yeah, I think the schedulers may have taken the hurricanes into account...I just don't want to miss any games as DirecTV is the only way to catch some of these games for us out-of-staters....we have three road games in a row but I think the overall schedule looks favorable.

I just moved to the beach, so there will be NO hurricanes in South Florida. I simply won't allow it.

I'm like Moses dammit!!!

 Yeah, maybe so. I was just trying to figure out why would we have so many away games during that stretch, and that's what I came up with.

Its not really that different from any other year. We always seem to only have 1 game @ home in October. We almost always have an early bye followed bye 2 road games.

Yeah, I hope no one has to go through that again. My thoughts are with everyone who had to go through that last year, not only in Florida; but everywhere else.

SEPTEMBER 17th and September 24 (against Buffalo & Titans) are prime candidates for Hurricane interruption. More than October. By October hurricane season is (supposedly) pretty much gone. (But not last year!)

No it isn't. Hurricanes are very busy in the Carribbean during early and mid Oct. too. Florida and Lousiana weather stations are always watching out for what is going on out there, because what happens in the Carribbean dictates FL and LA coast weather and that was definitely the case last year.

Weather is very unpredictable, especially over the last 4-5 years. But this schedule plays to the favor of avoiding re-scheduled games. Don't you think?

YES, IT IS. Hurricane season officially starts in July I think. But the real HEART of the Season (at least for us here in Miami) is in very late August-September..October is not usually the MOST busy hurricane wise (with the exception of last year which was rediculous).

If they adjusted the season b/c of hurricanes, will all of our seasons be affected this way with 4 of 5 on the road? What about Tampa Bay, and New Orleans?
