Ive been really pissed this season but in reality we should have seen this coming.
Aside from a few big runs last year, Ronnie didnt do hardly a thing. Look at the 2 games ricky started at the end of the year, he had about 275 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Now you will say but he played the Titans and the 2nd string pats, yes but ronnie had about 14 games started against various teams and he couldnt run the ball. This year we r seeing the same thing. Because We love ronnie (and he is a 2nd overall pick) we dont want to admit this guy just is an athlete but not a true RB. We want to blame the line, the QB situation, Mike Mularky and anything else not named Ronnie Brown.
Now I find him an exciting player to watch because of his ability to break tackles. But to me he looks just as good as our 2004 RBs which consisted of Brock Forsey, Leonard Henry, Sammy Morris, Travis Minor and Lamar Gordon. It is alot of the O-lines fault but look at guys liek Clinton Portis and a slew of other RBs in the league. They make due with what they have. Ronnie thinks he is in college still, where he can run through anywhere at anytime.
I am not saying he will be a long term bust, but as of right now, he isnt playing like anyone thought he would be.
This team just goes to show what an easy scheduale, a questionable but good QB and alot of hype can get you in the NFL. Last place despite a tough defense and weapons all over.
