Ive been really pissed this season but in reality we should have seen this coming.

Aside from a few big runs last year, Ronnie didnt do hardly a thing. Look at the 2 games ricky started at the end of the year, he had about 275 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Now you will say but he played the Titans and the 2nd string pats, yes but ronnie had about 14 games started against various teams and he couldnt run the ball. This year we r seeing the same thing. Because We love ronnie (and he is a 2nd overall pick) we dont want to admit this guy just is an athlete but not a true RB. We want to blame the line, the QB situation, Mike Mularky and anything else not named Ronnie Brown.

Now I find him an exciting player to watch because of his ability to break tackles. But to me he looks just as good as our 2004 RBs which consisted of Brock Forsey, Leonard Henry, Sammy Morris, Travis Minor and Lamar Gordon. It is alot of the O-lines fault but look at guys liek Clinton Portis and a slew of other RBs in the league. They make due with what they have. Ronnie thinks he is in college still, where he can run through anywhere at anytime.

I am not saying he will be a long term bust, but as of right now, he isnt playing like anyone thought he would be.

This team just goes to show what an easy scheduale, a questionable but good QB and alot of hype can get you in the NFL. Last place despite a tough defense and weapons all over.

well as dissapointed as you are he's still been one of top 10-15 backs this year.... i understand we're losing alot so everyone gets a turn in the blame game.... but Ronnie is playing well if you ask me. Well enough to justify being picked THAT high ?? No... but Ricky didn't look like all that much his 1st 2 years and eventually became one of if not the best back in the league. Tiki Barber wasn't a probowler til his late 20's.. now he's amazing. My point is Ronnie's the least of our problems... and get off his back for not being the greatest ever before he even gets a full seasons worth of carries.

LT has a game less then ronnie, we look at where LT is if his game against the Rams is over

I feel good about Ronnie Brown. He is having a decent (not great) year. I think if we can draft a guy like Joe Thomas, then RB should have some holes to run through. I think RB has been inconsistent mainly because of Mularkey's crappy play calling. It seems like when RB is running it well, we stop calling running plays and start throwing it. Mularkey seems to be afraid of going with things that work.

I have been disappointed as well. I will not pass final judgement yet however. Very few star backs can look great on their own. Also, alot of star backs look like star backs because of good team play. We just don't have good team play early in R. Brown's career. When we do, R. Brown may look like the star that many are expecting.

With time..... ronnie will gain experience and we will develope a better offensive line... if this is Ronnie playing poorly, he surely must be a great back... in due time his production will skyrocket kinda like Jamal Lewis IMO.

I know he has one less game, but I was aiming for people to look at the carries and yardage. Like I said upto this point they are about even in those categories.

Take a good hard look at Edgerrin James.....take him out of that Colts offense and look what you got. Edge set the ALL TIME futility record when he ran 36 times for 50+ yards...You think the O-Line might have something to do with that?

329 att 1371 yards rushing 4.2 yards per carry 8 td's.Thats what hes done so far in his 1 plus seasons in the NFL.Im happy with those numbers. Our line sucks bad and Mularky is no Scott Linehan. If Linehan was still in control of our offense things would be alot different IMO.Im happy with Ronnie so far.I dont see how anyone could look at Ronnie's numbers and think hes been a bust so far.

I think if Brown had been drafted anywhere else in the 1st round there wouldn't even be an issue.
His holdout, contract demands and ultimately his guaranteed money are what make him a target. I'm not saying it's fair, but that's just the way it is.
When a player holds out for more guaranteed money he's making a big statement about his ability. If he doesn't live up to that statement the fans are going to come down hard on him.

Why does Ronnie do the two step shuffle everytime he hits the hole off tackle? Ricky hit the hole, Ronnie get there then dances before he goes??

U must not have seen Ricky in 2003 . . . when u have no room . . . I don't care how great u are . . u are going to struggle. NOw Ricky had almost 400 carries in 2003 for 1300+ yards . . . under 3.5 yards a carry I believe. Ronnie is trying to be patient and wait for his blocks to set up ala Edge, thats good to see in a runner, but unfortunately he has maybe the worst run blocking line in the league . . . so its tuff . . . but i have not been disappointed in Ronnie at all, very solid back.

And Ronnie, to me, is the type of back that needs more carries to get a groove . . . just like Ricky, and he is not getting those carries. The one time he got them . . . we won.
