Active Roster
as we all know it was obviously a big time win for us fin fans, and the dolphin orginzation. a few thoughts.
offense-
1. bess- what more can we say. the guy played his best game as fin today. clutch catches, a td, 3rd down conversions, u name it. first 100 yard game for him. great to see him playing real well, would be a great slot reciever for this team if we had a legitimate # 1 reciever.
2.hartline- this guy is a baller. the guy makes big catches all the time, and never gives up on a play until the whistle is blown. will fight for every yard. 3 td this year and todays was the biggest. love seeing him develop and he can be a solid reciver for us for years to come. best osu reciver on the team, lol.
3. camarillio- the guy continues to make plays when thrown to. his catch today on 4th down was reminisent to the one vs the jets on 3rd and 10 on mnf. we need to throw to him more bc the guy catches everything his way.
4.ginn-the guy wasnt anything great on returns or on the recieving end today on the stat sheet, but did have 2 huge catches. 1st one with 6 secs left to give us the fg try which ended up making the difference. and the 2nd to give us a first down on our late 4th qtr drive. the guy needs to do more and cant be invisable most of the game.
5- henne- absolutley love this kid.i want to buy his jersey already only after 9 starts. the guy shows such poise its amazing. he has had 3 gw drives already, and words cnt describe wat hes done. he will only continue to get better, and with a true number 1, watchout nfl. also he says he thrives under pressure and he loves those spots. can be impressed enough.
6- ricky- off day for ricky, even though he avg 4.3ypc-18-75. still had a few nice runs here and there, but after 3 straight 100 yd games, hes allowed a little off day, which was still an alright day,
7- fasano- the guy was actually seen today. i got a little nervous watching him with the ball thinking he may fumble. luckily he didnt. if he can do that on a more consistent basis, he can be a big part of our pass attack. we saw what he can do last year, but has been quiet for the most part this season.
8. carpenter- cnt say enough. since we brought him in here, the guy has made every kick hes been asked to. 17 straight and counting for him. the guy has hit so many clutch fgs today, and today was no different. whether u ask him to hit a 20,30 or 40 yd, he is money. this guy should be on our team for a while and glad to have him.
defense- vonate davis- stud in the making, cam wake- bargain.
these 2 guys r so big for our d,im loving it. ill admit i wanted percy harvin with our pik but he was taken 3 piks ahead by the vikes. although i still wouldnt mind percy, if we got him, we dont get vontate. i rather have a shutdown corner as they are alot harder to come by. great pik by our staff as we have a shutdown corner in the making.
cam wake keeps making big plays. he is soley responsible for the int to end the game today. he always seems to be right in the middle of things and im loving it. what a great signing, its almost like an extra first round pik but alot cheaper.
randy starks- the guy continues to breakout for us this year. he is getting pressure on the qb, stopping the run, and finishing his tackles. had a nice hit on tom today. very young and can be a part of our d for a while.
in general, i didnt think our d was as bad as it may have seemed. we allowed 2 50+ yd td passes, but after mosses td, he was shutdown the rest of the game. thats an a+. welker we did have trouble with but as the game went on it got a little better. but if u cover moss, someone is going to be open bc they have so many weapons.
the aiken td wasnt even bad coverage. smith was on him, tried to make a play, failed, and missed the tackle after. hes a rookie and he will learn to play that better. luckily we still won in the end.
its frustrating to see we r only 6-6, bc i no this team is so much better then that. are we the most talented team on paper?no.but we find ways to make plays, and we do it. today our d makde the pivotal stop in the 4th which they usually dont. props to them.
great game overall, so round 1 playoffs= surive.now on to the most pivotal game. if we win we move ahead of the jags. if we lose, we r techincally 3 games behind with 4 to go= not good situation.
part of the reason i was rooting for the jags today was bc i knew we needed to beat them anyway for it to be relivant, and they usually dont play 2 games in a row of good football, so they got that out of the way today vs houston. lets hope we can continue to feed off todays victory.
