My wife and I are in Miami for the week and are going to the game on Sunday. Any recommendations on restaurants or things to do down here? What about Miami Dolphin related activities? Anything going on with the team leading up to the game? And how about game day? Anything I must see or do on the morning of the game? Thank you!!!

Im not a local, so i dont know much, but when i go down every year, i always try to hit a "Duffys". Its a great sports bar, fully loaded with a Dolphins theme. At least it seems that way for an out of towner. We tailgate on game day, but I like going into the stadium a bit early, cuz on the outskirt, they have bands playing and a lot of cool stuff going on. Cheerleaders come out, the pro shop is there, and of course some beers in the sun, while taking it all in! Im sure some of the locals on here, can give you much more info on other places.
ENJOY!!

I put out a similar thread earlier this week because I will be attending as well. I am interested to know these things as well.

Welcome brother!! I live about 45 minutes north so I'm not real up on the restaurants in the area or any real "events" that happen in the area. I would recommend that you get to the stadium early (around 10am) to just experience the tailgating area and the festivities that always are going on around G gate. The pro shop is definitely worth a visit. It's not small, or cheap....but if you want some good stuff you can't find often it's in there.
Also, I don't know where your seats are but if they aren't exactly fantastic, if you get in the stadium early enough you can walk right down to the bottom of the seats and be right on top of the field while they're warming up. Will probably get an opportunity to grab some really good pics.....Dan is usually roaming around there as well.

Hit up WildBill to find out if they are tailgating again in East 32. If they are you will want to go by and hang out with some Finheaven brethren. I'll be there for the Ravens game.

Here is the link for information on the stadium.

Danny explained what is there already.

As Jcane stated Hard Rock is an excellent place to go if you get a chance the night before the game etc. There is a sports shop inside Hard Rock with tons of Dolphins stuff is you want to buy merchandise and its normally less than the pro shop. Link http://www.sinbadsports.com

Since its Dallas coming would recomend if tailgating get there ealry 9:30 maybe if not try for 10:30 so you can walk around etc. The Grande plaza area isn't that big so there is not a ton to do unless you want to have a few beers and listen to some music etc.

If you guys have other questions ask here or PM me.

While your in town Joe's Stone Crab and if you want Cuban there are many around Versaillas is popular with visitors.

But then again I haven't lived in Miami in many years

If you want some of the best Cuban food in Miami ....

Havanna Harrys in Coral Gables is Your Spot .

Do yourself a favor and go to Shula's steakhouse, one is on A1A in downtown Fort Lauderdale and one is on Collin avenue in north Miami beach. Another aweome steakhouse is Chimas located in downtown fort Lauderdale too. Hard Rock which was listed earlier is awesome Downtown Miami, you can go to Bayside, restaurants, bars, bands, shops and boat rides for $28 to see Miami.

I went in 2004 and I regret not going to Shula's steakhouse.

The Ft. Lauderdale location has closed. The one in Miami Lakes is excellent was just there last weekend..

No way to advise or suggest without knowing age group, interests, location, and budget other than game day. Do you want to go to clubs on South Beach until 5 AM? Go to Early Bird specials? Something in between? :)

Shula's definitely, im not from here but im down from CT this week for the dallas game and plan on going to shulas. Been to the one near orlando and its the most amazing steak ive ever had. Going to the heat game tonight as well, not a big basketball fan but are going since tickets are the price of a movie ticket lol

Those guys selling water on your way to the stadium for a dollar or two, get it. 9 bucks for water inside the stadium. . **** off.

Just be. :)

Enjoy the game! It will all work out.
