seeing as how i hardly ever post on here but mainly come here to read and just be amongst other dolphins fans i sometimes feel the need to throw my input in there....so here it is.

Wilford being compared to Gadsden....one can hope so but i went and looked at gadsdens stats and he never had more than 800 yards in a season...spectacular catches only help during that one play not a season. So i am hoping he will somehow adapt to his new enviornment and become MORE than gadseden.

QB sitatuion....I dont really have much to say on this subject except for the fact that speculation and hopes dont mean anything once the season starts...the best QB on the roster will be our starter and we should be happy with whomever it is regardless.

RB.....so brown was having a spectacular season and gets injured...wasnt one of the main concerns about drafting him was his durabilitly and i know that gets brought up alot here, but if we would have went with caddilac williams....who really is the more beat up player physically. hmmmm

TE....i hope some of you are right and we draft a stud, i am tired of not having a great option at this position which can help your other positions excel.

Draft.....Why go with the sexy pick? So chris long will be a superstar and has a never stopping motor and yada yada yada but would him playing help us win a championship? well we dont exactly know...but jake long...would help ronnie, would help our QB, would help alot...i would rather have a player that would make the entire offense better than an individual spot...if jake long can come in and help ronnie gain an extra 200 yards and some TD's and help our QB have more time and improve his play then i am all for that...now i know that alot of you say that there is great depth at OT in this draft but i remmeber hearing that over the past years as well...and it just doesnt seem to be true...i will be happy with whomever we choose i just hope it is the right choice.

yes i know i write run on sentences but punctuation just slows me down.

Thanks to all my fellow fin fans for keeping this site alive and making interesting reads each and every day. I hope this upcoming season can prove to be one of memorable sundays for the right reasons and not for the wrong

Keep your head up about the draft I do not think either long will be a sexy pick, the sexy pick would be like a Ryan or McFadden.

IMO either long will help your team a ton. Build the lines. JT is not getting any younger and might be gone because of his dancing career. And if the Giants showed anything the way to beat the team that is atop the AFCE is with a ton of pressure.

Either Long will go a long way in rebuilding this team. Remember your are now year one of a complete rebuild.

Yes and no. All I know is all I keep hearing is the longer he stays in the comp. The more of a chance he runs on being released or traded.

Either way he only has one or two years left and there are not many players that can do what he can. I think Long is one that could given time to develop some more.

Also have not seen your on bb.com lately
 
Nice post AcidBath.

The point you make about R Browns durability concerns prior to the draft is just the opposite from what I remembered. I thought Cadillac was thought to be injury-prone one? I could be mistaken, just too lazy to look it up.

The only comment i have to your post is as i agree with you that Jake Long would indeed help Ronnie run better and Beck pass better, but Chris Long would help the defensive pass rush and run defense. Which in turn would help the secordary because they would have to cover opposing receivers for shorter amounts of time. (Ex. the giants d-line in the super bowl)
 
All i was saying is that he pointed out how Jake Long could help the other spots on offense but didnt say how Chris Long could help other positions on defense too.

no i just wrote in a hurry, but yes i do realize that howies son would help the defense overall i just think that he wouldnt have as much of a positive aspect as jake long would.

by all means i personally would rather have chris but i think it would help the team more to have jake, if that makes any sense

Chris or Jake either would go a "long" way toward helping this team......I'm sorry......kill me. :sorry: :baghead:

like i said personally want chris but for the better of the team i think it should be long, i would just love to see chris tearing it up for our D for years to come!

haha i know man its a little bit of an overegaduration, and alot of my post are actually from when i am home no sundays and post on the current game while watching it.

basically i am just saying as far as starting topics i only do it rarely, mainly during offseasons
